TRANSFORMERS 4: First Look At The New & Improved Optimus Prime (Truck Form)

TRANSFORMERS 4: First Look At The New & Improved Optimus Prime (Truck Form)

Optimus Prime has taken several truck forms. For the 1984 toy line he was modeled after a 1970s red Freightliner FL86 cab-over-engine triple axle semi trailer truck, but for the 2007 live-action film, he was modeled after a Peterbilt 379. Come see his new look.

Oh great, in robot form he is gonna look like he's wearing a 90's style club shirt with all those flames. Thought they might finally nix that. *sigh*

SAVE THE FLAMES FOR RODIMUS AND DON'T USE IT ON OPTIMUS!
I wish it was less curvy and was hoping they really got rid of the flames.

The paint job and the truck does look a little foolish but honestly when he transforms and starts fighting, everyone is gonna forget about his truck mode. Hopefully he doesn't look stupid in robot form though.

I loved the orginal design.. Had a sort of "maturity, experience, and leadership" to it.. Now it looks like it just got done racing in Fast 6

All it's missing now is a pair of truck nuts, and some spinning rims.

Looks good, hopefully the robot form benefits from some sleek curves to counter the blocky original design and deliver a visual evolution to the character.

Those flames just make it lame...I thought they were robots in disguise but those crappy flames makes him seem like a metro-sexual version of Optimus Prime. Too flamboyant....Prime is not a diva!!!

I wonder if the awful scrap heap looks of the robots will continue as well as the complete messy action sequences when the robots battle that no one can really decipher what's taking place.

Don't lie & say you like the stupid slow motion crap & mind numbing explosions for no reason style these films have.
They are supposed to be "Robots In Disguise" but they all take form of crazy expensive / rare / customized vehicles.

I know it would be boring if they were average vehicles..but would it really?
Given proper script, director, actors & special effects crew & Transformers could be amazing.
But we get stuck with..well,just watch it if you can.
