The fact that there are no early reviews of this movie makes me think it's probably of the same quality as the past ones. I really wish we could get another directors take on the characters. The technology is apparently there for Transformers to work, but the movies are always bogged down by slapstick buffoonery and scatological humor.

@Pasto

LMAO!

You know in all seriousness, I think the idea of Lex being some young arrogant Zuckerberg-esque billionaire is sort of a unique contemporary twist on the character. I'm down with it. I mean, it's not like the Luthor's we've seen on film so far have been anything more than over-the-top caricatures that are nothing like the comic book Luthor.

I wasn't on board until I heard that rumored take on him. Then it kind of made sense that he could be a young 21st Luthor.

Aka that dude trying to get with Marky Mark's daughter. Noone cars what the name of the human characters are in these films. I don't recall anyone lamenting "oh noes! Who could possibly do justice to the role of Mikahla?!" When Megan Fox was fired from this series (I had to look up that character name btw because I truly didn't remember). Aside from Sam Witwicky can you really name any of the characters in these films? I can't.

That was supposed to say "no-one CARES" but given that this is a Transformers thread, I'll stick with "no-one cars."

Looking forward to seeing our boy Jack in a Hollywood blockbuster. He was great in What Richard Did, an independent Irish film. Worth the watch.
It's great to see a fellow irishman break into the industry! Gives me hope as an aspiring actor!

Ugh GOOD. An Irish actor just allowed to be Irish in a big film, not having to put on an American accent or some American trying to do a terrible Irish accent.
