TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON Dominates The 32nd Annual Razzies Nominations

Despite being better received by some fans and critics, the impressive visual and 3D effects weren't enough to save the Michael Bay helmed threequel from the wrath of the Razzies!

You either love, hate or tolerate the Transformers movies. Personally, as someone who never grew up interested in the comic books or animated series, I've never had too much of a problem with the three Michael Bay helmed adaptations. They're not great when it comes to acting or story, but the sheer spectacle of the visual effects have always been enough that I've managed to gain some enjoyment from them. Dark of the Moon was an improvement on the second and some decent 3D effects elevated it from being just another two and a half hours of robots frantically punching each other (even though it was). Well, the Razzies have decided that the movie is worthy of plenty of awards! Just not the good kind...

Eh, eh... Trannies #3.
I don't see the point of having basically the same movies picked for Worst film and Worst Prequel/Remake/etc... and I disagree about James Franco being nominated for Your Highness.

Interesting how they had to stuff a "saga" in twilight's title trying to make it sound important and not the bunch of [frick]in trash it is.

Btw Josh, glad you're OK, I've read about your car crash on twitter.

well-deserved nominations. What pieces of garbage those films were.

The fact that Priest, Green Lantern and Green Hornet are not even in the categories makes the whole thing redundant pieces of personal picks by some sad idiot who has his own agenda and seriously needs to get out more!

And to be honest, nothing was a bad as sitting through Twilight Breaking Dawn part 1, that film was truly horrendous. Even Green Lantern was more entertaining than that!

Glad that Green Lantern didn't get nominated for anything. Was much better than everyone claims.

And I don't think TF3 was that bad. The acting/script was pretty bad, but the CGI was amazing and the storyline was decent.

Ken Jeong, as worst supporting actor? Man he's hilarious, and it funny in all his roles, although I didn't see jack and jill. My question is, why is Talyor Latnor in the worst supporting actor spot, or some shitty actresses in a plethora of shitty romantic comedies this year?

Apparently math isn't someone's strong point as Jack and Jill swept the nominations.. Sandler getting 11 alone shattering the record set by Eddie Murphy who had 5.

I don't get the Transformers hate.
When I went to the theater, I was expecting to see hot chicks, lame jokes, and robots beating the shit out of each other......and that's exactly what I got. I didn't go to see Transformers for the screenwriting, storyline, acting, or dialogue. I went there to watch a stupid, but wildly entertaining action popcorn movie. And again, that's what I got.

Action-check
Explosions-check
Female lead whose sole purpose in the film is to sexually excite male viewers-check

Well, yes I've grown a great hatred toward that latest entry of Bay's series by now (not yet the entire franchise, though, at least the first movie was decent)...but I'd love to see Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 winning every single nomination of this award.

It's kinda funny to see how comic book fans here seem to hate the film more than Transformers fans.

This is load of rubbish!! People may hate on it but it's one of the biggest Franchises going... and guess what when they make TF4 it's going to make a huge bucket load as well! Not to mention the 3D was freaking awesome in this film!

Worst film of this year? I think not.

"Female lead whose sole purpose in the film is to sexually excite male viewers-check"

Speak for your own self. Ugghh...

I don't quite understand what qualifies movies to make the Razzies. There were plenty of movies that were worse than TF3 that should be on the list. Dylan Dog is one that comes to mind. Do films have to have a certain box office draw in order to be nominated? Their site doesn't list any parameters. It does appear all you have to do is pay the Razzies money and you can nominate and vote. It would be interesting to see what type of people pay money just to vote on bad movies. I don't take the Razzies very seriously...pretty much the same with the Oscars.

TF3 and Bay will lead the way with some Twilight thrown in.

Didn't see J&J but was Pacino really that bad? Pacino???

This "list" is complete bull-shite! I'm a marvel fan all day and nite but GL was good. Not great,But good. How the frak you missed all those other really horrible movies that came out last year? And J.Franco was funny as hell in Your Highness. Frak wrong with them?

Ranger14
Ranger14 - 2/26/2012, 9:15 AM
The Razzies are determined by people who pay a minimum of $40 to be a "member" and they get to nominate and vote. So...what kind of people want to pay money just to be negative and diss on films? I don't think they are representative of main stream public. Hell, we can be here and do it for free! :-P

what happend? when green lantern came out, 90% of people were saying it was good or entertaining or just lost its footing, very few just claimed to blatantly hate it, and now everybody is taking a dump on it..... I'm starting to get that feeling, that more and more people are hating on it because it is popular to hate on, same with Ghost Rider 2 (was actually an entertaining film, if you didn't go in to hate it) and when TF3 everybody said it was awesome or best transformers movie, i didn't like it, but now everybody is hating on it, because it is the "smart" to do, stick with your guns people

Seriously people need to get off Green Lantern. Every other article I look at someone in the comments talks shyt about GL. It's not the best superhero movie but it definitely doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. And even if you don't like the movie you don't have talk about how bad you thought it was every day, get over it!
