Here are the announced details.

“The city announced Thursday street closures in the Loop during three weekends in July. Filming is set to begin July 10, but the first road closures will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 9. The streets will reopen Monday, July 12 at 5 a.m.
LaSalle St. between Jackson and Randolph Washington between Wells and Clark Randolph between Wacker Drive and Wells.
The Michigan Ave. bridge over the Chicago River will be closed 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16 through 5 a.m. July 19.
The final road closure will occur 9 p.m. Sunday, July 18 through 5 a.m. Thursday, July 22 on Wacker Drive between Michigan Ave. and Wabash.”



The filming location as seen in The Dark Knight.



Transformers 3 comes to theaters July 1, 2011.

Why is this being shot in the streets of Chi-town and not infront of a green screen so they go to efing space!!

Why all the haters I like the movies. No not the best and defiantly not the worst out. I mean for real everyone is so downing the movies but I think its just because people cant handle the winds of change and I fallowed ROTF just fine. and I will probably hear well your just as brain dead as the creators but I actually saw it for what it was a movie with a rushed script do to the writers strike and a producer who is more into big booms and making movies his way. But over all they made money most of the people have seen them and will go see this one as well.

@Optimus1983- I agree, It could have been better but could have been a lot worse as well. The only real problems i would like Bay to answer for is why do the transformers in his movies all look like bionicles? And why did he turn devastator into a big dumb animal? The only real disappointing thing going into the next movie is knowing we wont see the dinobots cuz Bay has gone on record many times saying how he doesn't like them and refuses to use them. And i love how everyone complains about the actors, which cracks me up cuz its a movie about big robots beating the crap out of each other!! Was anyone expecting oscar worthy performances, really?? I love Transformers, i have since i was a kid and i enjoy these movies for the simple fact that i see them for what they are, big robots that turn into cool stuff and blow each other up!

I also like how I hear alot about these movies and other CBMs failing yet alot of them including this one make more than it cost to make and last i checked that was not a failur that was a win lol but for real people need to really see that not everyone who makes CBMs is going to do it right or care that they did and we need to just sit back and enjoy the good ones that are put out. Or we could each throw in $5000 and make our own damn CBM and see how well it does. I got 5 to spar who is with me?

Optimus1983, you're not the only one, I enjoyed the Transformers movies as well. Call it a guilty pleasure, I call it entertainment. And I will spot you $10, we got $15 together, lets buy some action figures and start filming.

Explosions, robots, gratuitous sex shots and poop and pee jokes? Yes please.

Stumblin I know I just get a kick out of the movies because I get to see my childhood Hero Optimus as close to real as it can get and its EPIC on so many levels. Yea and that 5 i ment 5k lol. but now its $5010 lol. I would love to make a movie I have made a few and drawn out story boards of some comic books i wanted to start and my friends tell me they know I would do really awesome making a movie but hey who am I right. But If I had the money I think I would make some CBM fans happy.

At least michael bay has a few brain cells left to realize when its time to quit raping a franchise and end it...in fact my 12 year old brother has the greatest idea for the 3rd Transformers movie, these are his exact words: 'The movie opens with a huge battle between the Autobots & Decepticons with the two love birds as always in the middle. At one point Megatron grabs Megan Fox and kills her as revenge against Shia whatever his last name is. He becomes really dark and finally quits being a wuss and joins the Autobots to kill Megatron and the Decepticons. Then the movie fast forwards 20 years to the future where the Shia kid is now grown up and bad-butt and played by Vin Diesel.' XD I love my little brother

@UnfriendlySpidey- I would pay to see that movie, your little brother is awesome! But lets have Megatron rip her in half like he did with Jazz! Or better yet, step on her then act disgusted as he scrapes her lifeless body of the bottom of his foot! But instead of 20 years, make it 30 and cast Bruce Campbell instead, i dont know about you but i would pay a fortune to see Bruce take down a decepticon with his Boom-Stick and chainsaw!! lol
