Mike Patton, lead vocalist for the band Faith No More is set to do the voice over for the character of Mixmaster, which by the way is Devastator's left leg.

Producers approached Patton after hearing his work on the soundtrack for the video game "The Darkness."

Patton also produced the score for the upcoming film "Crank: High Voltage."

How can you not love that news. I still won't be wasting my time on this movie, but it's cool that they used him.

I have the Darkness game and didn't even realize he was doing the music on it. I need to check my ears.

I'd love his character to keep asking the others to "introduce yourself".

The guy is a legend, the band was awesome and actually founded "Nu-Metal" (I hate that phrase) over a decade before Fred "tossing" Durst and "Limp Wristed" were given the founders title.

You mean Mr. Bungle, Faith No More or any of the other 5 bands he fronted? Because, in my opinion, none of them can be associated with the term "nu-metal". Mr. Bungle was the Chili Peppers before the Chili Peppers were even close to being the Chili Peppers. And Faith No More is more prog than anything that is associated with "nu-metal".

Still, this is kinda cool news.

I'm not saying they are "Nu Metal", I agree with you and personally hate that term! I just think that "Epic" was the 1st commercially successful song that can be labeled as such and therefore they are much more deserving of the title (pathetic or not) than Limp Biscuit.

However you slice it, the guy is a legend with a great voice!

Mixmaster isn't Devastators left leg in the movie. He is now Devi's head and neck area.

I would much prefer him as a bigger role such as devastator though having him in the movie period works for me. The darkness was a bad ass game btw his voice was perfect....is
