Wow.....mousetraps. Really? The Michael Bay magic is hard at work again I see. And Wheelie was an Autobot. WTF?

And the second clip looks exactly like the first scene from the first movie. Way to stretch those artistic muscles Bay.

All of you idiots who didn't like the first Transformers and are being complete dumbass while you think you are speaking hypercritical artistic intelectual nonsense need to just shut your holes. Steven Spielberg specifically hired Bay to make a fun action packed summer blockbuster that the whole family could enjoy. Is it Oscar worthy? Probably not for the acting, maybe the production stuff. This is a movie based on a toyline that had its G1 hayday 20 years. Grow up and freaking deal with it. Its never, I mean NEVER going to look exactly like the cartoon, nor is it going follow the exact same storylines. This movie is going to be awsome. Especially for people who can be happy and just enjoy the explosions and effects and the fun of it. Steven "super Oscar Movie making Director" loved the first and the second as he has been mentioned to actually high five Bay during his screenings, and he holds alot more artistic weight than nobodies like you who are allowed to spout your ridiculous comments on a comic book message board. So shut up.

@Legendary

You can make a "fun action packed summer blockbuster" without it being cheesy and filled with horrible actors.

Invoking Spielberg as an expert on current cinema is not a good idea either. I mean just look at Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Poopy:)

I'm sorry but Michael Bay is a hack. I'll go see this movie and if it's even remotely better than what I'm expecting I will definitely say so, but I haven't seen anything that convinces me that this won't be as big a cheese fest as the last movie.

As some of you know I love Bay (my favorite director)..and Transformers(my favorite toy and cartoon as a child)...and Speilberg (my favorite producer)...so this movie is like a dream orgy of film for me....but I'm so confident in this film I'm not even going to defend them from the naysayers and haters. 200 million opening weekend, Guaranteed !! This film will gross close to 1 billion before its all said and done. It's not being made to win oscars, or critical aclaim, it's being made for me.....and all my friends I grew up swaping transformers with. So go see it for the special effects, the nostalgia, and the new twists and turns Bay has in store. ITS A POPCORN MOVIE!! and it's the best one you'll see this summer. Period

DEATH TO THE AUTOBOTS!!!!

And while you're at it can you please give me some of what you're smoking because you are as hiiiiiiiiiiiigh as giraffe p*ssy if you think this movie will make $1 billion or even close to it. The first one barely cracked $700 million dude.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course. I don't think you guys are haters or anything, but if you didn't like the first film with the same creative team, why even comment on this one? If you already don't like the movie, everything you see from it is gonna look stupid because you already made up your mind, right? I totally understand if Michael Bay isn't your cup of tea, but you have to admit, Bay makes movies that people honestly enjoy. A lot of people. I have to admit that his films are in no way sophisticated or overly intellegent, they are just simply fun and enjoyable. Which is what summer blockbuster is supposed to be. He's like the "idiot savant" of directors. He's definitely lacking in the drama and humor departments(thought Badboys I and II were hilarious), but when it comes to pure action and excitement, he's the best there is at what he does. For example, I thought Transformers was just "ok" until the last 40 mins or so of the movie. Its like Bay just let loose and let the action tell the rest of the story. Thats when the first Transformers really excelled. That was the coolest thing I've ever seen on film. Period. No exaggerating, I don't know personally 1 person who didn't like the first Transformers after watching, and a lot of them said it looked stupid before they saw it. All of them said they are going to see the second one in theatres. I won't be a hypocrite and say this movie is great before i even see it, but what we've seen so far is no reason to doubt that it will be at least as good as the first one.

P.S. Those of you that didn't really care for the first, what have you seen in other movies that was cooler the last 40 mins of TF1? Honest question. If I hadn't already seen it, I'd like to check it out.

@Alten2345

Honestly, Its not too far fetched to think hat this movie will do close to a $1 Billion in just worldwide ticket sales. Sequals almost always do better. The thing is, people take more chances watching something new on DVD, and if they like it, they see the sequal in theatres. Look at recent movie history...

Matrix $460 Million, Matrix: Reloaded $742 Million... X1 $296 Million, X2 $407 Million... Pirates 1 $654 Million, Pirates 2 over $1 Billion... Shrek $484 Million, Shrek 2 $919 Million... LotR $870 Million, LotR:TT $925 Million... Batman Begins $372 Million, The Dark knight over $1 Billion... and Bay's own Bad Boys $141 Million, Bad Boys 2 $273 Million...

I'm just saying that sequals USUALLY do better. But on the the flip-side there's...

Spider-man 1 $821 Million, Spider-man 2 $783 Million... Star Wars:E1 $924 Million, Star Wars: E2 $649 million... Harry Potter 1 $974 Million, Hary Potter 2 $878 million...
Men In Black $589 Million, MiB2 $441 Million...

Considering that the Transformers DVD was the fastest and most sold dvd in 2007 though it came out in October, I think its safe to say that a lot of people liked it. In fact, in just movieticket and dvd sales, Transformers made $976 Million in 2007.

@MoonDoggyX

Who're are you trying to convince? Me or yourself lol? I know all those figures. I know typically sequels do better. I'm not saying this won't. I'm saying I think this will not break $1 billion in worldwide theater ticket sales nor will it break $200 million domestic theater sales opening weekend.
