RICK AND MORTY Season 7 Episode Titles Reveal Some Intriguing Hints About What's To Come This October

Adult Swim still hasn't revealed who will lend their voice to the title characters in Rick and Morty season 7, but these episode titles at least drop some hints about what we can expect from the show...

Ahead of Rick and Morty's return to Adult Swim this October, the network has shared the titles for all 10 episodes of the critically acclaimed animated series.

As we're sure you all remember, co-creator and lead voice star Justin Roiland was charged with domestic violence. While those charges were later dismissed, the damage had already been done both to him and, to a lesser extent, the series itself. Now, he won't be back to lend his voice to any of these characters.

This new video (which comes our way from SFFGazette.com) doesn't shed any light on the identity of someone we recently learned will be a "sound-alike" actor, but the episode titles - while heavy on puns - are undeniably intriguing.

Is it us or does that first one seem to strongly hint we'll see the long-awaited return of Mr. Poopybutthole in more than just a post-credits scene?

"How Poopy Got His Poop Back" – Broh, Come Out With Us, You're Being So Boring Dude
"The Jerrick Trap" – Gotta be mindful Broh, big brain stuff here.
"Air Force Wong" – Virigina is For Lovers Broh
"That's Amorte" – Broh, That's-A Some Good Spaghetti
"Unmortricken" – Rick And Morty Wilding Out, Broh. They getting up to stuff.
"Rickfending Your Mort" – Gotta keep those receipts, Dawg.
"Wet Kuat Amortican Summer" – High School, Broh. Morty and Summer hang out in this one.
"Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie" – Action! Adventure! It's a whole movie, Broh!
"Mort: Ragnarick" – Heaven is for real, Broh. I saw it, Broh, I swear.
"Fear no Mort" -Only thing to fear is fear itself, Broh.

Will any of these episodes put the spotlight on the Evil Rick Sanchez? He's become something of a big bad in the series in recent years, but with another 30 episodes on the way beyond this upcoming batch, we're not expecting any sort of resolution quite yet.

"Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever!" reads the official synopsis. "It's season seven, and the possibilities are endless: What's up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let's find out!"

"There's probably less piss than last season," it comically continues. "'Rick and Morty,' 100 years! Or at least until season 10!"

Rick and Morty season 7 premieres on Adult Swim on October 15.

It must be tough to pick between Toonado and SFFGazette as a source for this article. It must be akin to Sophie’s Choice

@WhatIfRickJames - I just clicked on the sffgazette article and in that one they have toonado as the source. I don’t dare click the toonado article to see who their source was.

Recently rewatched the whole series.... anyone who says this show dipped over the years is just a hater because it became popular. There are maybe one or two lesser episodes and they are in season 1. A stone cold classic. I can't wait for more

It's hipster bs. Once something becomes popular it's cool to hate it💁

The show is great. It's just the circle of fandom 🥲

The core problem of Rick & Morty is its inability to decide whether it wants to be serialized or not. Part of this is tied to the overall narrative of Rick's journey of his nihilism about how nothing matters.

The most liked plot-lines of the show are serialized, however every season has some form of reset button along with several episodes having the characters (expressing the writers viewpoint) explaining how they dislike and hate serialized shows.

As such, characters get reset virtually every season in some form or another. There's no enjoyment from that as such because any development they have is just flushed away.

If the show accepted what it is, then it would be enjoyable, a nice blend of solo episodes and serialization. Instead it actively chooses to insult its viewers, spending several seasons teasing the serialized plot-lines only to then just kinda drop the ball and move on from those plot-lines.

As a result, the show has to stand on its comedy and after this many episodes it's still doing the same style of humor with the same core dynamic as it always does. It's not a show I hate, but its a show I got bored off and ended up dropping.
