Prime Video has finally released the brand new trailer for Reacher season two, offering a first look at what's to come for good 'ol Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) this coming holiday season and it looks like he's gonna have his work cut out for him as he unravels a new mystery with the most devastating of consequences.

Unlike season one, which debuted in early 2022, the new season will be released on a weekly basis, with the first three episodes launching on December 15.

Season Two will be based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Lee Child's best-selling series. The novel follows Reacher after he receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. He then springs into action and begins to investigate, recruiting friends new and old to uncover a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn.

Joining Ritchson for season two are Maria Sten (Frances Neagley), Serinda Swan (Karla Dixon), Shaun Sipos (David O'Donnell), Ferdinand Kingsley (A.M.), Robert Patrick (Shane Langston), and Domenick Lombardozzi (Guy Russo).

Reacher season two premieres on December 15.

Reacher Season Two begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten); Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos). Together, they begin to connect the dots in a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn, and that brings about questions of who has betrayed them—and who will die next. Using his inimitable blend of smarts and size, Reacher will stop at nothing to uncover the truth and protect the members of his unit. If there’s one thing Reacher and his team know for certain, it’s that you do not mess with the Special Investigators. This season, get ready for Reacher and the 110th to hit back hard.

Based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Lee Child’s global best-selling series, Reacher Season Two stars Alan Ritchson in the title role of Jack Reacher, with Maria Sten, Serinda Swan, and Shaun Sipos as key members of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit. Rounding out the cast are Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M., a mercenary that homeland security refers to as a “ghost;” Robert Patrick as Shane Langston, head of security for a private defense contractor with a questionable track record; and Domenick Lombardozzi as tough NYPD detective Guy Russo.

Reacher is produced by Amazon Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios. Based on the novels by Lee Child, who serves as an executive producer, the series is written for television by Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner. In addition to Santora and Child, the series is executive produced by Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, and Adam Higgs, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance.

Reacher is pulled from his vagabond life by a coded message informing him that a member of the 110th - his elite group of Army Special Investigators - has been murdered. He and some of his former military cohorts reunite to investigate and soon realize the case is bigger than they ever could have imagined. Watch the new season December 15 on Prime Video.

@bkmeijer1 -

As long as he is a savage beast high level villain. I don't want them to waste him in a low level C villain type.

Bad Luck and Trouble is my favorite Reacher novel. Psyched to see it in “live action.”

Even though each new Season is standalone, I wanna rewatch S1 again before S2 debuts. Looks good.

And wow releasing it weekly as well like how they do with The Boys, Gen-V, Bosch: Legacy and possibly others? That's good. It'll generate more discussion for the show and it'll stay active instead of just fading away quickly. I like that they're handling things like that now.

Eventually Netflix and others will have to follow. Now they just need to increase the episode count to good ol' 13 and it'd be great.

@NinnesMBC - I think Prime has the release schedule that works best. Three episodes at once, the others on a weekly basis.

The all at once model or everything weekly just doesn't work anymore. And Netflix' two-part schedule also doesn't work (considering it's just dropping two episodes a month later).

@bkmeijer1 - I think it has been working well, just wished that they gave their shows 13 episodes order so that we have at least 10 more weeks of content to enjoy of these series rather than just 5 weeks.

I agree Netflix's alternative is a uninspired option. There are some that I do think work by being release weekely, but probably they will have to evaluate better that.

@NinnesMBC - yeah true, it is dependent on how many episodes a show has. The Amazon model works best for 8, the weekly for 6, and the two-parter for 10 or more imo.

As for the Marvel Studios shows, I'm fine with them being only 6. Because even with 6, some are already stretched thin.

The first season was pretty solid, so I'll definitely watch this too. Amazon Prime is doing a lot of good work with their (comic) book adaptations. And makes me think, do they even have original IP?

First season was awesome. This trailer already sold me on season 2.

Always thought this Alan Ritchson should be Eddie Brock/Venom. The guy has the build, the intimidation factor, and he'd dwarf Holland's Spidey.
