THE BOYS Season 3 Casts Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler, & Miles Gaston Villanueva As New Supes

The Boys season 3 has added three new supes to its ever-growing roster, with Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler, and Miles Gaston Villanueva suiting-up as the latest costumed "heroes" to make life difficult for Billy Butcher and the gang.

Flannery (The Boondock Saints, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles) will play Gunpowder; Wechsler (Roswell High, Revenge) will play Blue Hawk; while Gaston Villanueva's (Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders) character is named Supersonic.

If the names don't ring a bell, it's because these guys don't appear in the comic books and are original creations for the show. All we know is that Supersonic is "rumored" to be an ex-boyfriend of Starlight's (Erin Moriarty), and that Blue Hawk might be based on G-Men leader Ground Hawk. We also know that Soldier Boy's (Jensen Ackles) team Payback will appear, so there's a chance these three will be members.

Season 2 of The Boys ended with the death of Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.

It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted, and showrunner Eric Kripke has hinted that the episode will be every bit as depraved as the comic.
