Jensen Ackles gave us a glimpse into his intense training regime with a workout video on Saturday, and the Supernatural alum has now taken to Twitter to tease his debut as Soldier Boy in the upcoming third season of The Boys.

Ackles posted a first look at what appears to be Soldier Boy's shield (he is supposed to be a parody of Captain America, after all), with the promise of a full character reveal on Monday.

Though The Boys has stayed faithful to the source material in many respects, it has made a few significant alterations to certain characters, and the show looks to continue the trend with Soldier Boy. In the comics, "Soldier Boy" is actually revealed to be a legacy title held by several individuals, but the one we meet in the pages of Garth Ennis' controversial series is a cowardly suck-up who longs to be a member of The Seven. Based on what we've learned about Ackles' take on the character, he's going to be a far more formidable force.

Check out the image below.

Season 2 of The Boys ended with the death of Billy Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.

It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted - although we're sure they'll be forced to drop or tone down at least some elements of that story... right?

So off topic but I just watched The Conjuring 3, and while I don’t think it’s very scary at all, it’s probably enough to scare the teenage audience it’s made for. The leads in it are very likable, the cat and mouse aspect with the satanist vs the Warrens was cool and I like the idea of a capable human villain for this movie instead of a demon to mix things up. It’s not a great horror, but as a supernatural thriller I think it does quite well

@SonOfAGif - probably believes he created the switch because of his cheap knock off.
