Rick Cast In Walking Dead

Relatively unknown British actor - Andrew Lincoln.

THR has reported that AMC's Walking Dead series has cast it's lead - and it's not who we expected - but apparently the choice has creator of the series Robert Kirkman more than stoked.

"Andrew Lincoln, wow -- what an amazing find this guy is. Writing Rick Grimes month after month in the comic series, I had no idea he was an actual living breathing human being, and yet here he is. I couldn't be more thrilled with how this show is coming together." said Kirkman.

Lincoln has starred in many British TV shows including This Life, afterlife and Strike Back. He also had a role in Love, Actually.

The pilot begins shooting in June - so expect more casting announcements soon - it looks like the show is going for some more unknowns, but maybe that's for the best. I still have high hopes for this adaptation and can't wait for the series to debut in October.

He was great in "Love Actually". He's the guy that fantasized about his best friend's wife (Kiera Knightly). Awesome film!

@Keven - rest assured the guy is a great actor. Can do both comedy and drama.

Glad to see he is getting his chance in something like this.

He's a good actor, I haven't seen Love Actually because the trailer was enough to make me chuck but I have seen This Life and some other show he was in as a Teacher which was also pretty good.

Ha, experienced love or experienced schmaltz? Ah no I can't comment because I haven't seen it, maybe it is better than it looks..but dude, that trailer! I mean its from the same clown that directed 4 Weddings and Notting Hill right? His idea of "romance" and mine differ significantly I'm afraid.

The Answer..yep, thats the one! haha.

MMM, nah that makes me sick. Hahah, sorry I'm not into valentines day romance. For me a real romantic movie is something like Buffalo 66 or Amelie(which would also be considered a "chick flick") When it has to be hammered home with music and schmaltz and basically the film makers sign posting .."Look, see how romantic this is?" it doesn't work for me. BUT , like i said i'm commenting on a film that I have only seen the trailer for so I may be way off. Maybe i'll check it out..have to be a very rainy day though!

Ror- Actually, "Love Actually" is probably the easiest blowjob you'll ever work for(without breaking a sweat). I completely understand that chick flics aren't for everyone. But its one of my favorite films. You have to see it just for the fact that Bill Nighy is in it, AND plays an over the hill pop star that thinks (very much out loud) that what he does is complete and utter shit!!! LMFAO, seriously just for that you gotta see it with your girl. She'll love you for it ;P And IMO, Liam Neeson is actually the worst part of the film. Especially when he gets his "cry scene", makes me cringe everytime. But every other thing about it is awesome! But i'd watch ANYTHING with Alan Rickman in it... even a porno LOL :P

And here's my list of chick flicks i could watch all day:

Devil wears Prada
Love Actually
Dan in Real Life
New in Town
And yes... even 4 Weddings and a Funeral

Cause Atkinson is the funniest rookie priest ever and also because Simon Callow steels the [frick]ing show like no other! He practically made me like this film all on his own. It was also Kristin Scott Thomas' only performance that didn't get on my nerves and Hugh Grant was also decent as a bumbling idiot. I'd say that 4W1F and Love Actually are his two best chick flicks.

And for some reason, i don't know if it's cause my mom raised me alone, i can even stand going through both Bridget Jones back to back. But preferably if there's a "job" after it ;P
