It seems a second season may be coming but not as soon as we expected.

The Writer/Director of the first of the first season of "Walking Dead" episodes had this to say about the second season.

"Shooting in February? As tired as I am right now getting season one through post, I’d rather shoot myself."

As much as I am looking forward to this show, I thought it was too early to start right after the first season finishes.

Catch the six episode first season, Airing on AMC on Halloween.

This is my favorite comic right now by far. The comic is so close to what would really happen if we had a zombie apocalypse it's ridiculous. Don't fall in love with any characters. That's all i will say. CAN'T WAIT!!

well think about it, other shows do it too. If you all watch south park, they do the same. they do about 6 or 7 episodes then take a break and do the rest of the season

6 episodes..13 episodes...doesn't matter to me, I'm just happy this is being made and that it's really being taken seriously.

oh, and by the way, like Rick from the book, I'm also a law enforcement officer, have been for the last ten years, so really related to what he goes through in the story, minus the zombies and the whole end of the world thing. And..I still have both of my hands. So, other than all of that...I can relate.

Season 2 will def happen, so I'm not worried when.

6 episodes is very lean, but AMC has a history of that sort of thing. Testing the waters I guess. Breaking Bad's first season was also in the 6-8 episode range if memory serves.
