Is The Walking Dead going to attempt to top the shocking deaths of Glenn and Abraham from the season 7 premiere? As the credits rolled on tonight's Eugene-centric instalment, we were told to expect another big water-cooler moment on next Sunday's mid-season finale.

Taking certain recent developments into account, fans might think they have a pretty good idea who this supposedly shocking moment will involve, but the show is still capable of pulling off a surprise or two.

Check out the promo and a sneak peek for "How it's Gotta Be" below, and let us know how you think the episode is going to play out.

It's kinda sad that we've now gotten to a point with TWD that we expect the death of a character in order for it to shock us now. This show used to have great twists and turns that were enough to be cliff hangers but now they just use character deaths for big finales.

Unless this season ends on a massive high I don't think it will continue for much longer.

@bcom - I have to agree! I can literally fast forward parts of the show and not skip a beat.

@bcom - I hope they don't use this death as a cliffhanger. Just make it clear they died. It's monotonous at this point and cliffhangers such as those aren't boosting long term ratings.

@bcom - seems like the FX department and the stunties are writing the show...so ready for it to die.

Sorry Mark, Morgan isn't the shocker. It's someone who hasn't died in the comic. Someone big.

@GreedoSarducci - very true. Im actually shocked that they are killing this person but there is a reason why rick was crying in the flash forward in ep 1 of this season.

@knighted - yep. I'll admit it's a ballsy move to hop that far off the comic rails. It'll be interesting to see how much divergence occurs from this point forward.

@GreedoSarducci - Yeah I thought that might happen since the weird red-eyed Rick part... but is this speculation or do you know who it is?
Kitschy

@GreedoSarducci - It's not a ballsy move if it wasn't their decision. I think the death we are speaking of, the actor wanted out. Unless we are all wrong and so are the spoilers and we actually get a shocking moment.

This is going to change the direction of the whole show. It's sad for true die hard TWD fans. Unless they can actually take this as an opportunity to do something great away from the comics. Michonne pulling out from the plan last night sealed the presumed death speculation for me, though.

I hope you've all got your shitting pants on, cause you're about to shit your pants when you all watch Carl dying this week;

Chandler Riggs has turned 18 and wants to go to college. His contract with the show has finished and he hasn't been seen filming on set since after Episode 8 - the Midseason Finale. This is the 'big main death' that we're getting and its going to be one of the most memorable moments in TV history.
