I didn't think that was Glen on the walkie but I guess we will find out next week. Also, if it's not Glen then I have no idea who it could be.

The non chronological storytelling of The Walking Dead is killing the drama and intensity. Scott Gimple is hung up on Easter eggs for the future and teasing to the point that the show no longer pays off with satisfaction once it finally moves on.

The slow moving stories, where a 48 minute episode is made up of 10-20 minutes of story is making the series feel old, slow and outdated. When events finally unfold they are usually blown by a slow reveal that means you've already figured it out long before the big moment unfolds.

The meticulous and overly detailed storytelling makes it seem as if the writing staff thinks Walking Dead is a historical documentary that must be chronicled with great care so people can know the true life history of Team Rick in the Zombie Apocalypse.

Even great, important moments in actual history have not gotten such care to meaningless detail when turned into live action or docudramas. Scott Gimple doesn't seem to understand that he is in the entertainment business. As a result The Walking Dead has very little entertainment value. The great cast is held back with little to do as the scripts ask them to delay, bide time and tease the audience with hope that someday the show will pay them back for watching. We never seem to get to that day.

This show should just be cancelled. It's awful.

Are they trying to save money on actors salary by only showing a few actors per ep at a time or something.

You guys are unbelievable sometimes. If you don't like the show don't watch it. And Scorpo this is the most watched show on tv it's not getting cancelled anytime soon.

I agree that it wasn't the strongest episode but this season has been good so far! Great choices for guest like John Carrol Lynch playing Eastman was fantastic! Lots of great moments and feels like everyone involved is still putting up their A game including/ especially Greg Nicotero. I'm not disappointed.

So the dude who took Daryl's wasn't named in the episode but is supposedly Dwight before the makeover. This show loves to remix things they don't need to.

I agree that the last episode was a little boring. They're stretching the thing ad infinitum after Glenn's situation. But that last "help" on the walkie sounded like Glenn IMO.

"It sounds like Glenn".

Because it was Glenn and now since Abe has a rocket launcher he's got another way to get out. Btw stop saying he could slide under the dumpster, there's one about an inch or two of space there.

I'm guessing its going to be a call back to seasoned one just like the Dumbass line and the Tunnel walk which was very reminiscent of season 1. Glenn covered in blood and guts could easily walk out of there just like Rick and Glenn did in season one. Using Walker guts to blend in and by them doing this call back it's also building up the concept of the Whisperers.

Btw I hope we see Dwight pop back up all burned up and scarred.

How did a diabetic survive this long in the apocalypse? Insulin has a shelf life of like a month or two, and it has to be refridgerated. Does Negan's group have a pharma lab?

I got distracted often tonight while watching the episode. I think that the last episodes even if slow paced at times were like 8/9, so when you go with a still solid 6/7 still won t feel to compare favorably.
Man i was very impressed with this one.

I actually enjoy this more than the comic. People are complaining about this moving too slowly, but the comic moved at a crawl. It was a struggle to stay interested in everything after the Prison. But the tv show is actually compacting stories into a shorter time frame and making it far less boring. Right now the show is at the same point the comic was when the tv show started. And barely anything has happened in the comic since then, so the tv show is rapidly overtaking the comic's timeline. 2 seasons from now, they'll be caught up.

I know just like everything in movies and tv, you have to put belief in whats real and whats not on hold a little. Remember that zombies are not real. Thats these people are acting, being told what to say. BUT..... you can only hold your minds thoughts back so much till you just want to throw rocks at the screen. The walking dead is my car cash. I dont need to watch it but I cant look away. They things they do on the show are sooooooo far from stupid that I cant block out that its just a show. The whole daryl story was bad and pointless. The people that took him hostage, one second they are like "dont you talk, dont say a thing" then they talk to him and get made when he tries to tell them he isn't who they think he is. And if you dont need him and was planing on stealing his bike or what not, just know him out and leave him for dead. Why drag him with you. Then the stupid girl that got bite by the walkers that were all burnt up....wtf? They were just laying there doing nothing. Walkers/zombies dont sleep. So why the hell are they just laying there with their eyes closed doing nothing while this fresh meat is just sitting there talking?? stupid. And the thing I found really bad and really stupid was pretty much every damn thing that Abraham said and did! First its still hard to believe that all this time out there in walker world, he still has a great mustache and the same hair cut....but besides that... the whole screaming at the walker thing and the gun was SO DAMN STUPID!!!!! I wanted the thing to bite him. It was pointless, dumb, waste of time and beyond funny! It was so boring and pointless that it was making my brain hurt. You know, like maybe shoot the walker, stab it in the head, then try to get the gun off it? To smart for you Abraham? Too much common sense? Come the f on!
