With less than a month to go before the premiere of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, AMC has released one final trailer for the highly anticipated series.

The latest trailer gives us our best look yet at the upcoming spin-off series, which follows Rich Grimes and Michonne on a quest to find each other in a deadly post-apocalyptic world. But as the trailer alludes, walkers won't be the only obstacle preventing them from reuniting. The living are just as dangerous.

At its core, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is an "epic love story" featuring two fan-favorite characters from the original The Walking Dead series. But the synopsis teases that these characters we once knew have been "changed by a changed world." At the backdrop of their journey isn't just a war against the dead, but a "war against the living" as well.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead... And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they've ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive -- or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

The two-minute trailer is packed with nuggets of details. While Michonne is dealing with a new group of survivors, Rick seems to be navigating a potentially dangerous situation with a military organization with mysterious intentions. It's clear that Rick will, at one point, find himself at odds with Major General Beale (played by newcomer Terry O'Quinn). But how he balances this delicate line and finds his way out of this situation remains to be seen.

The series stars Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprising their roles as Rick Gimes and Michonne, respectively, Joining them are Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate and Andrew Bachelor, among others.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on Sunday, February 25, 2024, on AMC and AMC+. It's intended as a limited series that will consist of six episodes. It's the sixth spin-off of The Walking Dead, AMC's hit series which was adapted from the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

Never really was high on this universe 'cept for maybe a handful of episodes. But that sure is one bad-ass poster.

So a limited series then, thought it was gonna have the chance to be given more just like Daryl's series and Dead City but if they can tell their whole story in those 6 episodes then it's fine by me.

Nice to see Terry O'Quinn here, he'll fit in right in perfectly. Been a long while since I saw him after Lost ended many years ago. As well as Lesley-Ann Brandt, an alumn from Lucifer.

I just hope the Richonne reunion happens somewhere in the middle and not saved for the last 2 episodes or something like that.

How are there even so many people still alive in this post apocalyptic world.

This show is like...two years too late. This either will have a lot of interest simply from people who need closure for these characters, or no interest simply because the main show ended and the viewers have moved on.
