THE WALKING DEAD: THE ONES WHO LIVE's Intense Opening Scene Almost Ends Rick Grime's Story For Good

Will lapsed viewers return to see how the two of the most popular, original Walking Dead characters reunite in The Ones Who Live? AMC is definitely banking on the nostalgia factor.

In The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, will Rick and Michonne have the happy ending they deserve after all the heartache they've been through?

Walking Dead fans will have to tune in to AMC tomorrow, to find out as the network looks to wrap up one of the last dangling plot threads from the original show in what will be the sixth spinoff from the original show after the likes of Fear the Walking Dead (concluded), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (concluded), Tales of the Walking Dead (concluded), The Walking Dead: Dead City (ongoing) and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (ongoing).

Ahead of tomorrow's premiere, you can check out the show's opening scene below.

Premiering on October 31, 2010, The Walking Dead concluded on November 20, 2022, after 11 episodes and 177 episodes. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is set after the main series' end and looks to reunite Michonne with Rick Grimes, who was presumed dead after season 9. Michonne left the show in season 10 to go search for Rick.

Her search will apparently bear fruit as Rick has obviously survived the season 9 finale bridge explosion and has been conscripted into service for a recently-formed human society called the Civic Republic.

Scott M. Gimple, who oversees the entire Walking Dead universe for AMC, returns to serve as showrunner for the sequel, which will premiere on February 25 on AMC and AMC+ at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

What do you think will happen when Rick and Michonne finally reunite? What do you think are the true goals behind the Civic Republic's actions?

In addition to Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, the show also stars Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O'Quinn, Matthew August, Andrew "King Bach" Bachelor, Breeda Wool and Craig Tate.

Are you excited to see new characters and communities in this miniseries? Let us know in the comment section below.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Official Synopsis:
The series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

I kinda wonder why they decided to make three spin-offs, instead of a 3-arc season 12

Although I'm not that surprised, because then I (and many others) probably would've complained about how the show should've ended long ago.

Was a big fan, but it’s been too long. I’ve moved on, they should have too. I’m sure some will tune in, but I’d be surprised if it was anything close to the original numbers TWD did when it was at its peak. Back when Rick and Glenn and the bunch were a team

Dragged their feet too much, took too long

Video has been up for 3 days and has 18K views. That is very bad. At one time it would have had 18M views in 1 day.

I still like the Walking Dead stuff and so do others, that's why they keep making more. I am not going to be watching this based on nostalgia. Those of us who actually follow the Walking Dead knew this story was coming a long time ago. AMC wasn't thinking about nostalgia.

Some of you few on social media don't wantbto watch it still? Then don't and we will.
