Season 2 of The Walking Dead debuts Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.

The second season of AMC's television series The Walking Dead is scheduled to premiere on October 16, 2011 and will feature 13 episodes(with a pretty long hiatus after the first 4 episodes). The series is based on the series of graphic novels of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard; it was developed for television by Frank Darabont (now fired), who will serve as executive producer for the second season along with Robert Kirkman and Glen Mazzara.

Its 13 eps but the season will go on hiatus after the first 7 eps(not 4)and then resume only next year again with the rest of the season

Jodez is correct. 6 or 7 eps then hiatus because of Football and then back in Feb after football playoffs is over.

This web series looks good and enough to satisfy me until the real stuff begins. And yes she will be the women on the bike from the first episode. I heard this web series is going to follow her.

Maybe for Christmas we will be treated to a Morgan and Duane Jones Christmas special. They did a special little mini comic in the graphic novels for them.

Who gives a flying F#@K about football!!!!!! I wish these tv F#@K%&S would just play a whole damn season of something!!!!!!! I know I'm not the only one out there that doesn't give a s#!t about sports. A holiday hiatus I can understand but a long one for sports, come on!!! If the audience loves they show they will watch it instead of sports anyway.

First of all, Season 1 is 6 episodes long, it was a test, it passed and amc ordered 13 more episodes and depending when they air, will have a break in between holidays...thank you

Whiplashdynamo didnt really call anything, it was reported they were doing a webseries based on her character awhile ago.
