AUSTIN BUTLER (“THE CARRIE DIARIES”) JOINS THE CAST AS CHASE; OLIVER DEALS WITH CARRIE CUTTER — Oliver (Stephen Amell) must stop an Arrow-obsessed serial killer, Carrie Cutter (guest star Amy Gumenick), who is convinced that The Arrow is her one true love and will stop at nothing to get his attention. Unfortunately, her way of getting his attention is to kill people. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) asks Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) to be his date for a work dinner with important clients. Thea (Willa Holland) auditions new DJs for Verdant and meets Chase (Austin Butler), a brash DJ with whom she immediately clashes. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz (#307).

Brandon Routh looks more right for Superman now than he did when he was younger. At 35 he looks 29 while palefaced 31 year old Cavill looks like a balding 45 year old Dad with abnormally short arms.

Routh looks healthier and much hotter than Henry Cavill. Cavill is a trade down Superman.

@geekygurl Hmmm... I think that's first time I've heard someone say that about Henry Cavill.

I do agree that Brandon Routh looks more like Superman now, but I respectfully disagree with you that he looks better than Henry Cavill's Superman.

Henry Cavill is the best physical embodiment(he looks like Superman and is super jacked) of the character yet IMO. The guy looks like he stepped right out of the pages of a Superman comic.

Pffft who cares about Superman, the character is cool but over sold. I'm more excited to see him as "The Atom" than I ever was as Superman, and my bet is, he will be a much bigger success with Atom as well.

This is why they should've used routh for the arrow version of superman, or at least made him captain atom instead

Routh as the Arrow version of Superman would've been SWEET! However, his character, especially with his look and how he's training is more and more like Ted Kord than Ray Palmer. Everything about his character SCREAMS Kord. Dude should've been Blue Beetle.

^Why wouldn't you? How was his character not charming? His wit was akin to Peter Parker and he was as smart as, if not smarter, than Pete. He may be called Ray Palmer, but his actual character and how he is playing him is closer to Kord than you may realize. Plus Kord's weight gain only made him more relatable.
