David Ramsey On Fan Backlash To ARROW Season 4 Helmet

Fans have wanted David Ramsey's Diggle to get his own costume since season 1 of Arrow. Heading into season 4, they'll finally have their wish granted but many are not liking what they're seeing. However, Ramsey cautions that don't have the whole story yet on Diggle's new duds.

Fans have not been kind to Diggle's new helmet that will be making its debut when Arrow kicks off its fourth season this October.  With Diggle recently getting remarried and having a kid, it makes sense  that he, out of all the other supporting members of Team Arrow, needs to conceal his identity.  But the reveal of his long-awaited superhero duds left a lot of Arrow fans disappointed.

Speaking to TV Guide Magazine, Ramsey touched on the fan backlash and teased that there's more to his costume that hasn't been revealed yet.  "I like it.  I know there’s a lot of criticism that it looks like the Magneto helmet. But by the time you see Diggle in action – we also get into what the helmet can do – you won’t be thinking of the X-Men at all. There is a very cool gun too. The gun and the helmet, by the way, are S.T.A.R. Labs creations."

I liked Diggle as a character but never felt he needed his own costume. He didn't need to be the one SUPER involved in the action. He should have stayed in the background. Maybe Felicity needs a costume too...

See this is why when anyone working on a movie or t.v. show says how awesome it is or people will love it I just don't believe them. Sure maybe they honestly believe that but more likely then not they have to like it or risk losing their job. The cast and crew for Fant4stic were raving about the movie and it was a flaming piece of shit. I will wait to see what they are raving about to see how awesome it really is.

I loved season 1 and season2 was even better but season 3 was a bit weak. hopefully this season it gets bk on track

I loved S2 and S1 but S3 REALLY fell flat for me. Such terrible writing and acting.
Will NOT be watching S4

Not going to stop watching the show because of a costume. That seems a little shortsighted to me. But it is uglier than that fall Big Ben took yesterday.
