Descriptions For ARROW And THE FLASH Tease New Vigilante Team And "Flashpoint" Fallout

The CW has released the synopses for the upcoming second episodes of Arrow's fifth and The Flash's third season, and they both shed plenty of light on what's to come for each of the heroes...

We know that season five of Arrow is going to kick off with Oliver Queen attempting to assemble a brand new team of vigilantes, but based on the description for "The Recruits," it doesn't sound as if that will go to plan. The flashbacks meanwhile will further delve into the vigilante's time in Russia.

SUIT UP — Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow’s training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver’s initiation into the Bratva continues. James Bamford directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Beth Schwartz.

Over in The Flash, it sounds like "Flashpoint" may have come to an end as Barry Allen deals with the ramifications of his actions in "Paradox." It's hard to say for sure as this synopsis could be referring to the ongoing changes to the timeline, but the status quo may be back to normal sooner than expected.

THE AFTERMATH — Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

I have mixed feelings about the upcoming season of Arrow. I'm hoping that it becomes great again, I'll watch the first few episodes and then decide to stop watching or not.

@KingNomarch - Dawg I barely made it through season two of ARROW! I only kept watching because Manu Bennett was a f*ckin BOSS as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke! I haven't seen seasons 3&4 and probably never will or I might watch certain episodes like the CROSSOVER'S and such. I'm jus gunna jump into this season without any knowledge of 3&4 n I hope it's good

@KingNomarch - the serious question is do we actually think S5 of Arrow is going to be worth wstching?

@thor2273 - I'm about to go super old man get-off-my-lawn, but I don't know how people with names like Speed Weed and Junkie XL are getting these high profile jobs in terrible franchises... Or maybe it's like a personal Allen Smithee. Like you want to keep your real name off the work you're not proud of.

Junkie XL went by Tom Holkenborg in the Deadpool credits, didn't he?

@Spock0Clock - I think so.
