The recent promo poster for the upcoming Elseworlds event revealed that the 3-part CW crossover would introduce alternate takes on Green Arrow and The Flash (Oliver Queen and Barry Allen will seemingly switch superhero identities), but it looks like another version of The Fastest Man Alive will also feature.

Stephen Amell shared a behind-the-scenes snap from the DCTV event, and it reveals that John Wesley Shipp will return as the '90s incarnation of The Flash.

Shipp has previously appeared on the rebooted show as both Barry Allen's father and Jay Garrick, but old-school Flash fans will be glad to see him back in that awesome costume.

The Elseworlds Arrowverse crossover begins Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., then continues on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. with Arrow, and concludes with Supergirl on Tuesday the 11th at 8 p.m.

When a 90s Flash suit looks leagues better than a 2018 one.

Also, this is awesome.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I was going to write exactly the same.

I would add that I'd enjoy a new season/revival of the old Flash TV show. I know it's impossible because it would be confusing to have two Flash shows and JWS is now almost 30 years older and he is already in the new show, and I also guess that not too many people would watch it except the fans of the 90s show, but I wish it was possible, maybe with a younger actor playing Wally West and this show becoming something like "Flash Beyond", but it will never happen. :(

If he is 90s Barry in that pic, then this has gotta be a record for the longest time an actor has played a superhero. Abet with a huge gap between appearances.

@OpaqueGiraffe17 - Does Adam West and Bruce Ward reprising their 66 Batman and Robin roles in animated movies count?
