New Extended Promo For ARROW Season 4 Episode 19: "Canary Cry"
As Superman would say, "Arrow is dead, bury it." - Last night, after being leaked a month ago, the show finally confirmed their worst kept secret. Will you be watching when it returns from hiatus?
The Black Canary is an iconic character in DC lore and in any incarnation, typically plays a major role in the life of Oliver Queen, yet last night, Arrow decided to off their version of the classic character, played by Katie Cassidy. Their decision was unsurprisingly met with quite a bit of vitriol and the writer/producers have been doing quite a bit of damage control ever since. Major character deaths are a frequent occurance in today's television landscape, so it's tough to say whether Cassidy's departure will affect ratings just yet, but considering the Black Canary is one of DC's more popular female characters, it wouldn't be unexpected if Arrow takes a major hit when it returns later this month.
