AL SAH-HIM TAKES HIS FINAL STEPS TO ASCENSION; ROY AND THEA REUNITE — Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes). Wendey Stanzler directed the episode with story by Erik Oleson and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan (#322).

In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen — not as long as the city needs The Arrow.

Arrow features:
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak
David Ramsey as John Diggle
Willa Holland as Thea Queen
Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance
Colton Haynes as Roy Harper/Arsenal
Paul Blackthorne as Captain Quentin Lance
John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer
Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom
Karl Yune as Maseo Yamashiro/Sarab
Rila Fukushima as Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana
Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul
Matt Nable as Ra's al Ghul

Not a single strong female character amongst them.

She used to be fun to have around like Cisco in Flash. Now she's just annoying.

OH NO--DANG IT. Does that mean they're gonna make Cisco overly emotional and/or have some weird love triangle with Barry?! They mess up all the quirky characters.

I'm glad someone finally called out Felicity on her naive, simplistic moralizing bulls***. First it's don't work with Merlyn, then it's don't save Thea, now it's don't save Oliver.

@DarthBastard eh, you could say them same for all the guy characters too.

Flawed characters make all stories go round.

@TragicBronson, there is a difference between a flawed and a bad character my friend. Most of the male ones suck also but you could pick a few good ones while on the female side the only two good ones are dead.

And the annoyance of Felicity continues... After Smallville I actually thought the CW would be done with these crappy 'Chloe Sullivan'-esque sidechicks, but I guess not...

I like Felicity but this season has really sped down hill for her character development. She was great to have around season one and really flourished in season two but now she is just down right annoying. And the whole Olicity thing just reaks of playing on that whole stereotypical CW formula garnered toward the teen audiences. Nothing against the actress herself as she is simply working with the script she was given. I loved her character prior to this season but this season she has really become anchor weighing down the teams development.

To be honest, this should have been laurel's tirade, not Felicity's. Laurel has known Oliver for FAR longer. Since the good old crayon and cootie days. She shouldn't have given up hope so easily. Makes it hard to believe that they could be together like they are in the comics.

Yeah, I liked Felicity at first but she became annoying. Her prettiness didnt last with me that long. Team Arrow has been slowly falling apart for a few episodes now. Not surprised.

Felicity needs to get thrown off a building....so she can justify her constant crying and whining...I stopped watching this show cause of her..

@DarthBastard Yeah, definitely true. Weak characters are flawed characters, but flawed characters aren't always weak. They definitely haven't found that balance for the women.
