Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim has shared a look at concept art for Megalyn Echikunwoke's Mari McCabe aka Vixen ahead of her live-action debut on this Wednesday's episode of Arrow. Can Mari's Tantu Totem make the difference in the fight against Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E.?

A comic book preview of Wednesday's episode has also been released.

Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) so he calls in an old friend – Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk’s location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm (John Barrowman). Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Keto Shimizu & Brian Ford Sullivan.

@SoultakerKatana - This is where we learn that concept art doesn't always translate well in real life. Aside from hair length, the suit in the show is a pretty direct translation. The issue either goes, A. They don't have the money for a material that actually reflects like the suit in the concept art, B. They really really really really like leather.

@KelvTwelve - My thoughts exactly. And I'm sure she just didn't want to cu her hair or wear a wig (that may look bad, I mean we've never had that on Arrow before!) and they can explain her hair length as growing out since they met.

I think it's less the costume itself and more of physical appearances. The concept has short hair (or at least a bun) and no make up, and to me looks more like what we saw in the Web Series

How is it they can make Vixen look great in the concept art, but not in real life? Did the actress have an issue with having to cut her hair? Everyone knows Vixen has short hair. Even in the animated series she did, yet now she has long and it just doesn't look like Vixen. Plus she even isn't wearing makeup and I personally prefer that look instead.
