Following character promos for Gordon, Bullock, Alfred and Penguin, we have another couple of "Production has Begun" teasers for the upcoming third season of Gotham.

We first glimpsed Jamie Chung's Valerie Vale in some set snaps a while back, but here we get our first official look at Vicki's aunt. Plus, from the looks of things, young Selina is going to be running into a much scarier-than-usual Fish Mooney at some point.

Gotham returns for its third season September 19 on Fox. You can check out the SDCC trailer right HERE.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor...

But who uses a cheap film-based camera? [frick]ing Gotham and their weird anachronistic technology...

I have no investment in this show because I don't watch it and therefore don't have an opinion on the matter but I'm on the internet. Yeeeehaw. Look, ma, I'm commenting!

According to the showrunners, the series is meant to be "timeless" like BATMAN TAS, meaning it isn't set in any specific era or decade.

It was a struggle to get through season 1, Season 2 was much better until they brought back that fool Fish. However, it's still stupid having a show with all Batman's enemies but Batman is just a kid. They should just do a proper Batman TV show. We have Superman on TV now, I don't think it's going to confuse too many people having a Batman show and separate movies.

As awesome as a B live action Batman series would be, Warner Brothers isn't going to let that happen (even if GOTHAM was cancelled tomorrow). He is WB's cash cow when it comes to the films and WB is milking him for everything he's worth. GOTHAM is as close to live action Batman as we're going to get and Green Arrow seems to be filling his place on the CW.

I have a feeling that the CW is only allowed to use Superman because he died in BATMAN V SUPERMAN (and there will probably still be limited with what they can do with him). Once Superman returns in the JUSTICE LEAGUE film, don't be surprised if he stops appearing on the CW.

@coderaven - Why would Vicki Vale's aunt be a love interest for Bruce Wayne?

Did they find someone who looks like Michelle Pfifer on purpose? Wow. And I'm proud of Jamie. She's come a long way from that super boring real World season she was on.

I'm looking forward to next season but I hope they kill off Fish in the first few episodes. Fish is definitely the worst thing about the first season. With all the great characters in the Batman mythos, I don't know why they created a new and completely unlikable character for the series.
