Jada Pinkett Smith Talks Playing The Villian In GOTHAM

While in a photo-shoot with the Net-a-porter magazine Jada Pinkett Smith briefly talks about how it is playing the villain in DC's newest TV Series, Gotham, “Playing a villain is really about diving into your own personal shadows. I wouldn’t say it’s easy, but it’s definitely fun,” We all can agree on that, for instance, the legendary performances by Heath Ledger, Sebastian Stan , and Tom Hiddleston , they all dove into thier personal shadows and did one hell of a job.
In a separate interview with the Eyebeam Atelier she discusses how Batman's absence will have an impact on the series, “We just haven’t seen how Batman came to be, and the Joker and the Riddler, and what the mob families were like during the earlier era of Gotham … so I think that keeps it out of the comparison.” Oh yes! Gotham is an upcoming American superhero television series created by Bruno Heller, based on characters appearing in and published by DC Comics, specifically those of Detective James Gordon and Bruce Wayne, who were created by Bob Kane, and others in DC's Batman franchise. The series will star Ben McKenzie as the young Gordon. Heller serves as executive producer on the project along with Danny Cannon, who also directed the pilot. Gotham received a series order from Fox on May 5, 2014, and is scheduled to premiere on September 22, 2014.
