i stopped watching after first season had a brake. Neverless it wasn't bad show. I guess i watched because i was curious how they are going to handle the Batman villains mythos in this one

it was still better show than AoS. I ended watching AOS after 6 or 7 episodes. I heard the AOS show improved since then.

The problem with Gotham is that is fan fiction and is not even good fan fiction, for me the showrunner of this show is a fan girl of Batman that have 50 years old and write porn fan fiction about Batman and Robin holes...

@jerryblake

Yes in the beginning AOS was bad and there was not sense in watching the show, now it looks like a good cosplayer show using Marvel characters, is cheap, is bland, but is Marvel.

At less nothing beat Daredevil, that also have his failures and the raid in the bulding with the russian mobster that was too comicbooky for this kind of show.

one thing more: Gotham tv series have this really weird style but it really mix nicely with Batman mythos. That's the one thing the showrunners got right, for sure.

How is arkham still opened, i never understood that. Why doesn't Bruce Wayne donate some of his money into making sure arkham patients never escape?

I really started to get into the show right before the winter hiatus. It took so long to come back on, though, that it killed the momentum for me. Had they shortened the break, I probably would have loved the season. Hope they learn from their mistakes this season.

This show sucks and moves at the slowest possible pace.

Its biggest issue is being set about a decade before we could conceivably meet Batman.

This could be easily rectified by jumping ahead several years at the start of a new season or at mid-season to the point where Bruce is in his last few years of training before donning the cowl and filling in blanks with flashbacks, but FOX is way too shitty of a studio to actually try something interesting.

Gotham has a nice visual style. It has solid actors and good characters for the most part. There are good stories being told in the show. But...

...for me it would work a lot better if it'd focus on being a cop show set in Gotham, instead of trying to be that and incorporating fifty shades of Batman mythos at the same time, without much subtlety and with Bruce being barely a teenager. Some of it makes sense, but Lil' Ivy and Kid Joker as recurring characters are taking it too far.

Since my biggest problem with the show in the form of Fish Mooney is hopefully gone I will give S2 a chance nonetheless. When S1 was playing to the strengths of the show it could be pretty good.

I seriously don't get the hate for this show. It was always going to be a Jim Gordon show, not a Batman show, but all anyone ever does is bitch about there being no Batman.

The only part I'm not a fan of is the Fish Mooney character, but other than that it's a solidly acted series with a shitload of comic references and a nice dark twist to the stories.

And it doesn't have the cheesy, tweeny, forced relationship angst of Arrow & The Flash (Felicity, the Lances and God, don't get me started on Iris - ugh, just DIE already, you annoying whiner).

did they get rid already that Gordon girlfriend ?

because as i recall her character was dragging the show down. And many said Fish was a badly written character.

@MrPagBrewster so in retrospect Batman is the villain? I mean he did create alot of his villains and does little to make sure they stay in prison. Im starting to sound like the Jokers doctor from the dark knight returns
