The fourth season of DC's TV-MA-rated animated Harley Quinn series, starring Kaley Cuoco, is set to premiere at the end of the month, July 27th.
The adventures of turned psychologist, Harleen Quinzel, now going by Harley Quinn, promises to take fans and audiences on a wild joyride of pure ludicrousy in the animated world of the DC Universe.
Although season 4 is right around the corner, the question of whether a potential season 5 is on the table is one which fans currently have without an answer. Harley Quinn Director Christina Manrique took to her twitter account recently and posted a simple message attached with a picture of Harley Quinn and Posion Ivy together:
While this tweet proves or exposes nothing major about the future of Harley Quinn, there is speculation that the animated series had been renewed for a fifth season, and is currently undergoing production.
This claim sounds possible, but is shadowed by other "likely" possibilties. For starters, Manrique could have been called back to WB Studios along with the other cast and crew members to put the finishing touches on Harley Quinn season 4, as it is not unlikely studios will have their projects edited or changed at the last minute.
Another possibility could be the production of a Harley Quinn special, most evident with the Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special, which released in February of this year.
However, according to new DC co-CEO James Gunn, in spite of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, Harley Quinn would continue to move forward for at least another season.
No update or confirmation on Harley Quinn season 5 has been made, so take this with a grain of salt.
