STEIN VS. STEIN — Tipped off to Vandal Savage’s (guest star Casper Crump) whereabouts, the team infiltrates a munitions deal with Professor Stein (Victor Garber) as their leader. Surrounded by some of the toughest criminals in the world, things quickly go from bad to worse when Savage realizes they don’t belong there. A massive fight ensues and a piece of the Atom’s (Brandon Routh) suit falls off and into the wrong hands, which could potentially cause disastrous consequences in the future. Stein realizes the best way to retrieve the missing piece is to contact a brilliant man – his younger self. He, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Jax (Franz Drameh) head off in search of young Martin Stein (guest star Graeme McComb), much to Rip’s (Arthur Darvill) consternation. Meanwhile, Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) plan to steal a key element in defeating Savage but still unsure of his new teammates, Ray (Brandon Routh) demands to come along on the mission. Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) helps Kendra (Ciara Renée) remember something vital. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg.

There was a twist? I forgot it was on and got in on the bar scene. What was this twist if anyone cares to explain?

Wasn't expecting to see Chronos. That was a treat!

I don't see ANYTHING close to what the "critics" called worse than season 1 of Agents of SHIELD. This show gave me everything I expected: Dr. Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Terminator, and DC Comics all rolled into one. And it delivered.

I thought it had a good balance of action, heart and cheese. I also enjoyed the twist(s). Looking forward to more!

I appreciate how the show explains why these certain characters were chosen, which is something that always confounded me. It's not the best explanation in the world - why not grab people from throughout history? - but it does what it needs to.

Otherwise, I'm pretty lukewarm on the show after the first episode. I don't like any of them in particular, and some of the dialogue and acting is awful.

But I'll give it another few more weeks.

Wow...that was a lot of fun. Heatwave is hilarious.

@NolanMarek

**Minor Spoilers**

Rip needed to literally pick the least important heroes in history to help him stop Savage, to cause as little damage as possible to the timestream. The Atom has this short speech about all of his legacy, tech, and work being done for nothing, that he quite literally has the affect the size of an atom in the future.

**Minor Spoilers**

What was the twist again? I was too busy being bored in the scenes w/o Captain Cold and Heatwave.

That's a pretty hilarious reason/"twist"

*SPOILERS I GUESS* The fact they're nobodies and won't have any affect on the future. Sounds like somewhat lazy writing but if I'm continuing to watch SuperGirl and giving that show a chance I might as well with Legends, not just blindly talk crap.

@NolanMarek
4 twists!
1. Rip Hunter went rogue from the TimeMasters. He's operating without authority.
2. Rip lied when he said they were chosen for being legends. He chose them for being expendable. They're all losers who make no impact on the future (probably meaning they're destined to die in the line of duty)
3. The Hawkpeople's son died just as history predicted, which means this whole mission of Rip's is part of history and won't change the past.
4. Rip has a son named Jonas (Michael Jonas Carter??) who is his main motivation. He's going to find some way for his son to survive, which could mean Booster Gold down the road!

As LordHarryLatts said, "lot's of fun". Got a superhero mission impossible vibe. I'm so glad DCTV is embracing the time travel and parallel world aspect in some of their shows. LoT has the potential for some of the best character interaction on any CB TV series. Also, Arthur Darvill is really good in his role as Time Master, Rip Hunter.

I don't think that Snart's going to take kindly to being referred to as a "nobody" and "expendable".

They should have used the DC comics, comic name Losers instead. As for the show I really enjoyed it. The highlights were the bad guys for sure. I don't get why it got hammered in the reviews, I personally liked it out of all the DC shows the most.

@TheBad: I quite enjoyed it. It was fun and cheesy in the best way. But Pilots are usually all about finding a show's groove and testing waters, anyway. Captain Cold and Heat Wave stole the show (as always).

I love Marvel and can't do AOS so my only question is - Is it better than AOS? The characters seem really cool so I want to like it. I all so like the really cheesy dialogue from the promos

I enjoyed it. Critics don't know sh*t.

Can tell Captain Cold & Heatwave are going to be my two favourites from this show & are going to be used more to their potential here than on Flash or Arrow.

@TheBad Sorry, I have to disagree, the effects / budgetary look looked nowhere near anything from the days of Saved By The Bell or V.R. Troopers. The Ship & Laser scenes looked far more natural here than being spliced in on a V.R. Troopers episode. Sure, they're not movie effects by any means, but there way above being compared to V.R. Troopers. About as good as or just slightly under par (Not by much) compared to The Flash' effects.
