SERIES PREMIERE — In the year 2166, the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is on the verge of his final victory – total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity. As the world crumbles, the Time Master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) takes matters into his own hands; he travels 150 years into the past to assemble a carefully selected team of heroes and rogues to stop him. Hunter has chosen what seems like an ill-matched group: billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm; Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), known as Captain Cold, and his partner Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), AKA Heat Wave, a pair of career criminals; and Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée) and Carter Hall (Falk Hentschel) AKA Hawkgirl and Hawkman. Together this unlikely group will attempt to stop one of the most formidable villains of all time, while they must learn how to not only be a team, but heroes as well. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer and Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg (#101).

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

All this will have been a waste of time if there's no season 2 featuring John Constantine.

@Alarebelde we already lost vandal savage to the small screen please let the epicness of the demon etrigan be reserved for the dceu.imagine a time period piece done in the vein of the lotr trilogy with etrigan and the demon knights smack in the middle of it.damn all my favourite characters in dc comics are anti heroes of some sort, etrigan, john constantine, lobo, batman, aquaman even in marvel comics punisher, hulk, and deadpool

I love how smart has been the people at CW mixing always solid veteran actors to bring gravitas to the show. Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, John Barrowman, Colin Salmon, John Wesley Shipp and now Victor Garber.

@superherodevourer if have to choose, of course i would love to see Etrigan in the Theater, but there is no plans any time soon, at least that they are bring him and Morgana in a Wonder Woman movie.

Well, now that i think about it, Justice League Dark is still a good chance to see at last Jason Blood.
