Tomorrow night's episode of Legends of Tomorrow will bring the "Invasion!" crossover to an end, but the eighth instalment will see the team return to their time travelling adventures in order to try and bring an end to whatever nefarious scheme the Legion of Doom has planned. While Captain Cold has yet to join the roster, the villainous team is beginning to come together as Malcolm Merlyn signs up.

Considering the fact he had something of a complex relationship with Damien Darhk in the present day, it will be interesting to see how their dynamic changes when Malcolm meets a younger version of the villain he tried to destroy the world with It's the Reverse-Flash who is calling the shots though, and it appears as if the Legends are about to come face to face with the group for the first time here.

LEGION OF DOOM — When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest start John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it. Brandon Routh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Sarah Nicole Jones & Ray Utarnachitt.

They're missing the greatest villain to ever walk the DCTV Universe... Captain Cold.

I can't wait to see him return. I wonder what Eobard says to make him join the Legion.

@Kr08 - I find Captain Cold irritating, he is just as cheesy, if not more than Kingpin and Diamond Back. I'm glad he's been absent from the show.

@LEOSTRATOR - how could you not like Kingpin? Vincent Dinafrio made that character a great complex centerpiece to DareDevil. Now Diamondback, yeah he was cheesy and he got worse by the time the last episode of Luke Cage came around.

@LEOSTRATOR - Yeah, but it's just like the comic books. And to be fair, he was less cheesy than Heat Wave. And as someone who initially disliked Heat Wave, even for the Silver Age standards of the TV universe, he's one of my faves now. Every line he gives is just gold. He's like the Drax of DC.

@JonAwesome - I liked him at first, it was different from the book and cartoon. But by his third episode, he drove me crazy. Especially his appearance in DD second season... ...cringe.

@GAThrawnIGF - I have no issue with Heat Wave, but Cold is aggggggggh!

@JonAwesome - I love Kingpin, but he is cheesy and that's what makes him great.

@Jhuntdaprodigy - Him and Foggy provide the entertainment in season 1, he is so cliched and it's great.

@LEOSTRATOR - Like others have said, I disagree about Kingpin being cheesy. Besides that, I love Captain Cold! He is so accurate from the comics. Also, unlike villains like Diamondback on the Netflix shows, cheesy villains work on the DC CW shows. The Netflix shows adapt the comics in a more gritty and real way. The DC CW shows embrace the silliness and cheese of the comics. That's why Captain Cold works so well. If Captain Cold was on a Marvel Netflix show, I would agree with you. On the CW shows, Captain Cold makes cheesy cool!

@DCMarvelFanGuy - I can understand where you are coming from, but for me cheesy is cheesy. I don't think it really matter what show the cheese is on. Cold, Diamond Back and Kingpin are just over the top for me, with Cold maybe edging for the worst.

@LEOSTRATOR - Gotcha! I find a lot of the acting on the DC CW shows cheesy anyway. I can also see where you are coming from though. Wentworth Miller's performance as Cold got more cheesy as the episodes went along because the character (Leonard Snart) just enjoys being a super villain. For me, it's infectious. If you watch his first appearance. Snart is clearly bored with the thieving game because it's not a challenge anymore. He's always ahead of the cops. Once the Flash comes on the scene Snart finds a new way to play the game. With Cold Guns, powers and costumes. It's a new and crazy world. One that Snart has accepted. Still, I respect your opinion. I know a lot of people who don't like his performance as Snart and a lot of people who do. It balances itself out.

That is as much of a "legion" as Age of Ultron was an age.

GAThrawnIGF - 11/30/2016, 6:12 PM
@teefurtree - To be fair, when you have Merlyn, Damien, and Reverse-Flash, two of whom are pretty much immortal, you don't need much else :P
AstonishingArachnid
AstonishingArachnid - 12/1/2016, 1:13 AM
@teefurtree - 4-6 members is really all they need anymore and it's overkill and you just get throw away villains with no development or character. Also Age of Ultron= Referring to the Age that Ultron was trying to bring about post meteor, not the time Ultron was active. Don't know why that's such a hard concept to grasp.

I don't see how the Legends can defeat 3 of the most baddest guys on the cw and one of them is a time traveler.
