LUCIFER Saved! Netflix Picks Up Fan-Favorite Series For A Fourth Season
After over a month of tireless campaigning, Netflix has heard the voice of fans worldwide and has resurrected the devil and his detective for a fourth season of Lucifer, set to air sometime in 2019...
It's been a little over a month since FOX announced the cancelation of Lucifer, but thanks to a nonstop worldwide fan campaign, it looks like the devil will indeed rise again.
According to multiple sources, including the cast and crew, Netflix has come through with a last-minute save of the fan-favorite series, ordering a 10-episode fourth season set to air in 2019. It remains to be seen, however, whether this initial pickup will lead to additional seasons down the line.
While fans were able to see two bonus episodes following the season finale, the main storyline ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger as Chloe (Lauren German) finally discovered Lucifer's (Tom Ellis) deep-dark secret after she saw his true devil face, which, of course, returned at the most inopportune moment. At the time, showrunner Joe Henderson apologized for a finale that was going to "frustrate the hell" out of fans, but it looks like he and the team will be able to provide some proper resolution when the series begins streaming in the not-so-distant future.

Entering its third season, the story of the original fallen angel continues. As Season Two came to a close, Lucifer took care of a little problem called Mom, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). But now he’s facing an even greater challenge – finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back. In addition, Tom Welling (Smallville) joins the cast as Marcus Pierce, an accomplished police lieutenant who is everything Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is not – strategic, reserved and well-respected. But perhaps even more annoying are all the things they have in common. Both men are charming, charismatic and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer's devilish traits are inflamed.
