"EMERGENCY PUNCH-UP"

04/06/2017 (08:30PM - 09:00PM) (Thursday)

A VILLAINOUS ATTACK PUTS A WRENCH IN THE TEAM'S MUCH NEEDED COMPANY RETREAT - In need of some real R&R, the team gears up to leave for a company retreat when supervillain Dr. Psycho releases a toxic gas in Charm City. Now stuck in the Wayne Security offices, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) does her best to make the most of a terrible situation. Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches also star. Jennie Pierson recurs.

In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.

Powerless features:
Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke
Danny Pudi as Teddy
Alan Tudyk as Van Wayne
Christina Kirk as Jackie
Ron Funches as Ron

I wonder if Marvel exploring the concept of Superhero collateral damage on a much larger scale in Spider-man Homecoming will help or hinder this show?

On the one hand it might help get audiences more on board with the idea of a show that explores the impact superheroics has on the everyday people of the world ... on the other hand it might just draw attention to the show's overall low production values even more.

That feeling when a great villain is used on a crappy sitcom instead of the Arrowverse.

I don't consider this a real CB show. This is the Planet Fitness of comic book shows.

It's a crime to have squandered such a talented cast.

I hear the show is serviceable, but I haven't seen it.

But I absolutely LOVE the opening!

Vanessa Hudgens is absurdly cute in that show, I checked it out hoping it wasn't gonna be as bad as it looked, and would have stopped after 5 minutes if I hadn't been captivated by how pretty Hudgens was. She hasn't changed much since Sucker Punch. Maybe even prettier. But the show in itself is unwatchable.
