The DC Comics universe is about to add a double-dose of funny next spring with the arrival of NBC's Powerless! Earlier today, star Vanessa Hudgens (Grease: Live), who portrays the lead Emily Locke, released the show's official Comic-Con poster featuring her alongside her core cast, consisting of Danny Pudi (Community), Alan Tudyk (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), Christina Kirk (A to Z), and the newly added Ron Funches (Undateable).

Speaking of Funches, Entertainment Weekly has learned that he's joined the main cast as Ron, an IT guy who works with Emily at RetCon Insurance Co. His character is being described as "a sweet and innocent guy, who, unlike his co-workers, has not lost his childlike enthusiasm for all things superhero." If you've ever seen him on his former sitcom Undateable, you'll know that this is as perfect as a casting can get.

Check out the new poster below:

In the first comedy series set in the universe of DC Comics, Vanessa Hudgens plays Emily, a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. But it's when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult "hero" in her own right… even if it's just to her group of lovably quirky coworkers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn't always require superpowers.

Powerless features:
Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke
Danny Pudi as Teddy
Alan Tudyk as Del
Christina Kirk as Jackie
Ron Funches as Ron

Powerless premieres Spring 2017

Hopefully that cast addition means they are retooling the show after that disastrous trailer.
