Stargirl will air on both DC Universe and The CW, making it a little more unique than most of the DC TV shows we're used to watching on a weekly basis. Even though the door is closed on the Titans or Doom Patrol meeting heroes from the Arrowverse, actress Brec Bassinger has revealed that Stargirl nearly showed up in The Flash.
"There have been talks of Stargirl getting to go on an episode of Flash, and having a bigger storyline, but it didn't happen this season," the Stargirl lead told IGN. "But I just think that would be the coolest thing. So much of my family has watched Flash for years."
Bassinger didn't elaborate on what that "bigger storyline" might have been, but we did see Stargirl at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths, so it's entirely possible we'll see her in the Arrowverse in the future. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has teased a smaller crossover event next year, so a meeting between Stargirl and the Scarlet Speedster could be it.
The character has previously appeared in both Smallville and Legends of Tomorrow, but this version is part of the new reality created by the events of Crisis and the emergence of Earth-Prime.
Stargirl features Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker, and Hunter Sansone. The show premieres on DC Universe on May 18th, and on The CW on May 19th.
