The DC Universe's live-action Swamp Thing series is set to premiere this Friday, and ahead of the character's small screen debut, a new report reveals Aquaman star Michael Beach will have a recurring role on the show.

According to Deadline, Beach will be portraying Nathan Ellery, "a no-nonsense businessman with a ruthless streak." Of course, as fans of the comics may know, Ellery is also known for being the man who ordered the death of Alec Holland, which in turn led to the creation of Swamp Thing.

Like his Swamp Thing co-star Crystal Reed, who previously appeared on Gotham, Beach already has experience portraying a DC Comics character, as he previously played Black Manta's father in James Wan's Aquaman.

Swamp Thing, which will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service on May 31, boasts an impressive cast that includes the likes of Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Crystal Reed, and Will Patton.

If this isnt connected to Titans maybe one day we could get Jason Momoa to appear in an episode

@Hawknaba - Not sure about that, im pretty sure they said its not connected to Titans. Also not 100% sure Doom Patrol is the same Doom Patrol we saw in titans, not just the recasting of Caulder, but several things that just dont line up, seriously they dont even mention Beast Boy

This show is so [frick]ing good. Its a completely different tone from Titans or Doom Patrol but still great. If you like horror / thrillers, you'll probably love how intense this show gets.
