RUMOR: The Events Of "Flashpoint" Will Merge SUPERGIRL's World With Earth-1 In Season 2

Ever since it was revealed that Supergirl is coming to The CW, fans have wondered whether the character would continue to exist in her own world or move to Earth-1. Well, we may now know the answer.

We've known for a while now that the events of "Flashpoint" will change the entire DC TV Universe, and while Grant Gustin has confirmed that The Flash won't remain in that new world forever, that doesn't mean everything will go back to being exactly how it was before (hence why Reverse-Flash is going to be a villain in Legends of Tomorrow). However, Bleeding Cool has today revealed the biggest and most exciting change as this event will apparently be what brings Supergirl permanently to Earth-1.

The character currently hails from another dimension which The Flash inadvertently visited a while back, but "As of the upcoming Flashpoint crossover storyline, Supergirl will now be a part of the main DC TV universe. Only Barry Allen will know that they were once separate… any remaining continuity issues will be handwaved as 'a time traveller did it.'" What this means is that Superman and Supergirl have always been part of The CW-verse, and this makes that upcoming crossover easier!

Are you excited to see Supergirl's world merged with the one Green Arrow and The Flash call home?

I really hope that this is true (having all of the shows occur in the same universe would be so great)!

Superman is my favorite character and I would love for him to show up on Arrow and Legends and The Flash!

@Scotty0570 - this is exactly what I thought. Like I hate seperate universes for characters that live in the same universe like the comics. Fox having the xmen universe seperate from the MCU always kind of didn't sit right. The day they announced spidey was in the mcu I flipped my shit and said "finally!"

I wonder if CW will bring in Batman now. Apparently things have changed, and everyone seems to be fair game.

As for Flashpoint being the reason, I figured that was obvious....I couldn't imagine any other reasonable explanation.

so now we have Superman, Supergirl, Matian Manhunter, Flash, Green Arrow, Canary, the Atom, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, various members of the JSA, Rip Hunter and Constantine (technically) in the same continuity across several shows. that is a very impressive roster of heroes.
