EW reports that Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica, Longmire, Riddick) has joined season 4 of The Flash in the recurring role of DC Comics villain, Blacksmith.

This small-screen take on the character is described as "a steely and badass boss of an underground black market for supervillains. Amunet uses every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives."

Sackhoff will make her debut in the fifth episode of the upcoming season, which is titled "Girl's Night" and will also feature Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak.

The Flash returns Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Really struggling with this show. Love alot of it but the rest of this universe is dead to me and and i feel like they blew their wad a bit on season 1 and they are not sure where to go anymore. Plus if i have to go through why time wraiths are bullshit again im going to lose it haha

@soberchimera - Black is actually the more correct terminology. I know you're just making a joke, but still - you don't know that a black person is African-American. They could be from England, or any other country where black people currently reside. So on a global level (like the -ahem- WORLD WIDE web) black is usually going to be the correct term.

Also the joke wasn't that great to begin with :/

@ALostCause - I agree with you, but Riddick was also actually kinda cool. Almost as cool as Pitch Black.

@MarsivNayr - I dug riddick, but pitch black is still the best. chronicles.. wtf was that? I liked it as a kid, but I guarentee I wouldn't like it now lol.

@ALostCause - I can dig what Chronicles WAS, granted it's not very well made but there are moments of greatness, mainly having to do with Riddick himself. That franchise works better with a small budget it seems. Gets more creative.

Oh my god. I just realized I have the opportunity to play the Riddick games again since I got a XB360 again. Those games are phenomenal.

She looks like Betty Cooper/Lili Reinhart. Or...vice versa.
I'm about to finish my rewatch of Riverdale, never thought I'd fall in love with that show.

I hope the Flash can turn things around, I don't think it was ALL bad last season, but overall it was definitely underwhelming.

I heard yesterday a rumor that she was spotted arriving to Vancouver and I did not know whether to believe this or not.

Great news and even better that she is going to be a recurring character. This must be also the 5th episode that Danielle Panabaker teased on Twitter last week.

So if she is Blacksmith and not the actress that was hired to play "The Mechanic" as DeVoe's assistant, then who is in fact this "Mechanic"?

I'm feeling like there is already a mystery going on here.
