"The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 1" is the first instalment of a two-part midseason finale for The Flash which airs right before the massive Crisis on Infinite Earth crossover kicks off.

It appears as if the spotlight will be put on the villainous Dr. Ramsey Rosso as the Fastest Man Alive ends up suffering a series of hallucinations, all of which you have to believe will play into his impending death. Once again, though, it seems the focus will mostly be put on Barry Allen rather than the Flash, something this latest batch of episodes has come under fire for this year.

Here's the synopsis for the episode which is set to air on The CW on November 26th.

PART ONE OF THE MID-SEASON FINALE — As Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) stands on the threshold of his impending death in Crisis, his convictions are tested when the monstrous Dr. Ramsey Rosso (guest star Sendhil Ramamurthy) infects The Flash with a mysterious, hallucinogenic contagion. Meanwhile, reporter Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) uncovers a vast conspiracy. Chad Lowe directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#607). Original airdate 11/26/2019.

I don't mind the focus on Barry over The Flash, I just hate when the focus is on Iris, she single handedly ruins most episodes that she's in. Worst character in Arrowverse history

This season has been very low quality so far. Way too much cringe content.

I'm not a fan of Ramsey. I didn't care for Sendhil's character in Heroes, and he reminds me too much of him in Flash. Maybe it's his acting, but I'm just not a fan of him.

“Focus on Barry Allen over Flash has come under fire” I beg you pardon? 😧

Anyway whatever hallucinogenic Ramsey has used on Barry (most likely it came from his metahuman blood after he showed he mastered it in the last episode) it is doing wonders on Barry if he is seeing his mother Nora again.

Fitting how once again a Nora of sorts in the show is always present during a finale event.

Pretty curious what will happen, Bloodwork has been a good written pseudo tragic villain and the actors' dynamics ever since episode 3 nailed the feud too.

I tried getting back into this show. I can't. Too much crying. The Flash used to be fun and took over as the best CW show, now it's a boring sob fest.
