THE FLASH Star Comes Out As Bisexual In Inspiring And Touching Instagram Post

It's hard for any actor in the public eye to be open about their sexuality, but even more difficult for many people across the world. Now, one star of The Flash has opened up about his struggle.

Since his introduction as Wally West in season two of The Flash, Keiynan Lonsdale has made a pretty huge impact in The CW series, especially now that he's suited up as Kid-Flash. Many fans would like to see him get a spinoff or show up in Legends of Tomorrow, but back in the real world, the actor has taken to Instagram to share a lengthy post about his sexuality after recently coming out as bisexual.

Now, while you may initially ask yourself "Why does this matter?" it's important to note that there are a lot of people all over the world who struggle to come to terms with things like this and look to their favourite LGBT actors and celebs for inspiration when it comes to talking to their friends and families.

Anyway, check out The Flash star's comments in full below and feel free to share your (respectful) thoughts on them in the usual place. Any insulting and homophobic remarks won't be tolerated.

I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I'm becoming. Spent way too many years hating myself, thinking I was less valuable because I was different.. which is just untrue. A couple years ago I was able to accept myself, & it saved my life, but now I've gotten to a new road block & I feel kind of lost. I gotta take the next step & actually embrace who I am, which is pretty exciting. Not faking shit anymore, not apologising for falling in love with people no matter their gender. I've become bored of being insecure, ashamed, scared... no one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live. Ya know more & more I see so many young people being their best / truest selves, it's [frick]ing inspiring... so what have I been waiting for!? Who knows. Everyone in their own time. I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are & not judge people who aren't exactly the same as us. The truth is we are all family, we're all one. Just love. Keiy. ❤

@JoeMomma29 - Actors… Always so dramatical. I could care less about his orientation. Too bad is character plays a bitch all the time

@SpideyQuad - I totally agree. At this point its pretty much accepted. I feel like these celebrities do it for a cry for attention.

I get it. There are people struggling with coming out. But it isn't some extravaganza that needs a party or a front page cover anymore.

What's next? We are going to start giving attention to people removing tattoos?

@SonOfAGif @SpideyQuad - LMFAO....lemme guess....there are no more racists left either right???........Dramatical? Cry for attention? I'm guessing neither of you are born & raised from Greenville, Kentucky? Or maybe Plains, Georgia?

People care.

Just because you've grown up, or currently live in a progressive, forward thinking, and enlightened community (which I doubt judging from your responses), don't think this isn't an issue for people who feel trapped in their own skin....or those that want nothing to do with anyone in the LGBTQ community...

I have no idea what the community he grew up in in Australia was like, and I suspect you don't either...no need to throw shade...

@Talontd - I live in NYC black girl today told me, that by the looks of me she was probably more intelligent than me. Does that count as me being oppressed? Can I make a public post here saying that I'm actually an intelligent electrician, that also loves women? And can I also be a hero for stating that?

@SimpleeComplex - Well you better hope you aren't white and/or male, because apparently, it's impossible for them to be oppressed.

@Talontd - Hey more power to him! I'm sorry you misunderstood my post. My younger brother is gay so I totally understand. I use dictation software and don't always proofread my posts. I was only trying to be funny commenting on how the character on TV is wishy-washy and kind of a punk. I apologize if I offended you.

I always like it when people come out, because they shouldnt be aftaid of who they are, and at the point that we are at as a society, one should not fear to voice their opinions, and feelings.

But I will say this, there is a difference between being lgbtq, and then yelling it out in everyones faces every chance you get
