The Flash is racing towards the finish line, and star Grant Gustin has now confirmed that he's now completely done working on the show's ninth and final season.
In a clip shared on social media from one of the actor's recent Instagram Live sessions, he reveals that, after completing one last batch of ADR sessions, his time as the small screen Scarlet Speedster is up. Gustin finished shooting some time ago, but this means his time working on The Flash is officially at an end after first being cast as Barry Allen in 2013 for an episode of Arrow.
It's been an epic run for The Flash star, but we're guessing he's keen to move on to different projects now. The series ending also means we'll be saying goodbye to the Arrowverse following last year's cancellations of Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow.
In the next instalment of The Flash, Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, and Keyinan Lonsdale are among those set to reprise their respective DC TV roles in a cameo-filled episode titled "It's My Party, and I'll Die If I Want To."
After that, we're getting a four-parter called "A New World" that will see Rick Cosnett reprise his role as Eddie Thawne alongside a number of villainous speedsters. The series finale, meanwhile, airs on May 24.
There were once rumours that Gustin might show up as his version of the Fastest Man Alive in The Flash movie, but those have recently been debunked. He and Ezra Miller did share the screen during The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, though, so repeating that might have felt a tad redundant.
