Unfortunately, Neil Gaiman's recent tease had nothing to do with a season 2 announcement for Netflix's The Sandman, but fans of Audible's superb adaptation will be pleased to hear that Act III is now available.
This third volume will introduce David Harewood as Destruction, Wil Wheaton as Brant Tucker, and K.J. Apa as Prez.
The join returning voice actors James McAvoy (Dream), Kat Dennings (Death), Michael Sheen (Lucifer) Andy Serkis (Matthew the Raven), Jeffrey Wright (Destiny), Regé-Jean Page (Orpheus), Brian Cox (Augustus), Emma Corrin (Thessaly), John Lithgow (Emperor Joshua Norton), David Tennant (Loki), Bill Nighy (Odin), Kristen Schaal (Delirium), Kevin Smith (Merv Pumpkinhead), Bebe Neuwirth (Bast), Miriam Margolyes (Despair), Joanna Lumley (Lady Johanna Constantine), Niamh Walsh (Nuala) and Arthur Darvill (William Shakespeare).
Dirk Maggs, who helmed the first two installments of the audio series, returns to direct The Sandman: Act III, with Gaiman back on board to narrate the while also serving as creative director and co-executive producer.
Check out a preview of Dream and Delirium encountering their long-lost brother Destruction below.
The Sandman: Act III will adapt Brief Lives and Worlds' End, and with just two volumes left, we assume the planned Act IV will conclude the series with The Kindly Ones and The Wake.
Have you guys been listening to Audible's Sandman? If not, we'd highly recommend giving it a go.
