YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS Gets An Early 2019 Premiere Date; Check Out An Apokolipic New Teaser Now

The DC Universe has officially announced the premiere date for the long-awaited revival of Young Justice and it's a lot sooner than you might have expected. Plus, they've released an ominous new teaser!

Warner Bros. Television and DC Comics officially announced today that Young Justice: Outsiders, the long-awaited third season of the critically-acclaimed animated series of the same name, will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service on Friday, January 4, 2019.

The premiere date falls exactly one week after fellow DC original, Titans, is expected to wrap up its freshman season and seemingly suggests that WB TV and DC may have plans to debut new DC content almost every week next year. Following these two series, they also have Doom Patrol, Stargirl, Swamp ThingHarley Quinn, and Titans season two slated to premiere through 2019, so it wouldn't be a stretch for fans to expect a new series premiere every thirteen weeks, give or take.

DC Universe has also released a new teaser, featuring the Earth transitioning into Apokalips, which, of course, means Darkseid is finally coming to bring hell to our heroes.

In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.

Young Justice: Outsiders returns with a brand new episode on January 4

@grif - Same, that's the only way I'm gonna be able to support the show because like @blitzburgh said, I'm not gonna pay for another service. I'll pay for a blu-ray because I already bought the two seasons on BR after the renewal was first announced. Plus it would be nice to add to the collection =)

@L0RDbuckethead - I know!

They were taking such a long time announcing a release day, and being all cryptic about everything (related to this show) that I was beginning to lose interest. I'm still kind of bummed that we had to wait so long, but I am happy that we don't have to wait much longer.

That was a good teaser.

Still have some time left to catch up, thankfully Netflix has the first 2 Seasons.

@MrCamw1 - There's only been two seasons of this show. The new (third season) is going to be a DCU exclusive (at least here in the US), although the rest of the world will luckily get it all on Netflix.

@KingPatel Jon Cryer just cast as Lex Luthor for Supergirl
Origame
Origame - 11/16/2018, 1:14 PM
@blitzburgh - really? That seems like a bad joke. Has he ever even done dramatic work before? Or is this a purely comedic take? Either way i dont see this as the best choice by a mile. Even for supporting a superman alum since he was a side kick in arguably the worst movie in the series.

@Origame - yes this was confirmed on another very reliable site

@Origame - Jon Cryer is a two time Emmy winner for Two and a Half Men. It isn't the first time we see an actor know for comedy take on a more heavy role. Don't judge so early.
Origame
Origame - 11/16/2018, 1:38 PM
@NinnesMBC - ive seen him on two and a half men. Its really not that good of a performance. This casting just screams that they wanted to include a superman alum in this role and cryer was the only one available.

Watch Young Justice be the best thing WBA and the DCEU have done since… Young Justice. And yes, that includes Wonder Woman.

If you're waiting to binge season 1 of Titans, I hope you live in Europe because I don't think you'll be able to do it on DC Universe.

@GAThrawnIGF -
Nope. I think DC is on to you. Once Young Justice starts, I think they'll release two new eps of YJ and two repeats of Titans each week to prevent dining and dashing. I could be wrong, though.
