After two excrutiatingly long years, winter is finally here.

HBO's Game of Thrones returned with a big bang tonight with a premiere that essentially set the stage for the rest of its sure-be-epic season by reuniting a number of fan-favorite characters (Jon & Arya, Tyrion & Sansa, Arya & The Hound, Theon & Yara, and of course, Bran & Jaime) and introducing Winterfell to the Dragon Queen (Emilia Clarke).

While the episode's biggest moment arguably came in its closing moments as the newly reformed Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) arrived in Winterfell and promptly laid his eyes on the boy (Isaac Hempstead Wright) he crippled nearly a decade ago, it also contained another game-changing scene as Jon Snow (Kit Harington) finally learned his true identity and based on his reaction, it remains to be seen whether he'll share that information to his new love and his family or whether he'll keep it to himself.

Next week's installment will see Jaime Lannister put on trial in front of both Daenerys and Sansa (Sophie Turner) and also see Tormund arrive in Winterfell and warn Jon and company about the impending arrival of the Night King and his Army of the Dead.

In Season 7, Daenerys Targaryen has finally set sail for Westeros with her armies, dragons and new Hand of the Queen, Tyrion Lannister. Jon Snow has been named King in the North after defeating Ramsay Bolton in the Battle of the Bastards and returning Winterfell to House Stark. In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister has seized the Iron Throne by incinerating the High Sparrow, his followers and her rivals in the Sept of Baelor. But as old alliances fracture and new ones emerge, an army of dead men marches on the Wall, threatening to end the game of thrones forever.

This show is so damn good. Can't wait. Please let Cersei die. Have a bad feeling Jon or Dany will die, as I can't see them both surviving.

@MarvelnDCLover - Nope. Drogon knows Jon is THE Targareyan. Drogon is going to reject Danny and take Jon Snow as his rider.

That's what that long look Drogon gave them was all about IMO.

Slow episode with not much going on, but I knew most likely this episode would have to lay the groundwork for the rest of the season, so I'm expecting the next one to be better. I'm glad Jon now know his lineage. Hopefully Jon gets to be king by the end of the series.
