She's back! Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter will appear in her regular time period of Tuesdays, 9-10 p.m. early next year. ABC have just released their midseason schedule, detailing the key dates for all their returning shows following the winter break. Season 2 of Agent Carter premieres January 5 with a 2-hour special. After it concludes its 10-episode run, it will be replaced by sister show Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., which returns from its regular midseason hiatus on March 8.
Last year, Agent Carter exceeded the expectations of most fans and critics, with a strong 8-episode arc that gave Atwell a chance to shine on her own in the MCU, backed by very likeable collection of supporting characters. Among those characters set to return are James D'Arcy's Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray's Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj's Daniel Sousa (who is now Peggy's new boss). Are you looking forward to Season 2? Be sure to sound off below!
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
