At the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Marvel's Agent Carter the big reveal was which directors were coming on board to direct the first episodes of the ABC television series. Marvel Studios co-president Louis D'Esposito is directing the pilot. The second and third episodes will be directed by the Russo Brothers ("Captain America: The First Avenger"), who are quite familiar with the television format as they made their mark directing the paintball episodes for NBC's Community. But perhaps the biggest surprise is that Joe Johnston, who directed the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger wants to direct the fourth episode. This would dispell rumors of conflict between him and Marvel.
MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER - starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life--Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," along with the short "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter." Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. It is executive produced by Christopher Markus, Steve McFeely, Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Jeph Loeb.

I love the idea for this show. Since Cap is in present day, it's impossible to revisit the characters from the first film without doing this, which is great because the characters needed more development.

Just wear a tight, low-cut shirt and pose for the cameras. No need to talk.

I still have mixed feelings for this show but it sounds a lot more interesting premise than Agents of Shield. At least this has a nostalgic 40s vibe going for it.

I have no interest in a Agent Carter series. Wouldn't it just be Agents of Shield 50 years earlier? Agents of Shield is terrible and it is set in present times. Why would I want to watch the same thing except in the past?

A lot of these actors want these minor roles to help break them into movies, not relegate them to tv. I wonder if contracts to play these minor roles have a mandatory t.v. show clause in case Marvel decides they want their character to be involved in a tv show.

Other than being a female lead show, nothing else is making me interested.

Seems like a waste of space.

@dellamorte

AoS's ratings were actually pretty damn good if you look at them. But it just seems like the ratings were super low because the show's pilot started with AMAZING viewer numbers.

Hayley Atwell > Clark Gregg. I think that's all we need to know that this show is most likely going to be better than AoS.

Really? Other than Game of Thrones and some major sitcoms, I'm out of the Tv world.... I saw some episodes of AOS and they were entertaining. I thought the series was popular and that's why it got renewed

@RobertLiefeld

Hey...you can't possibly be "THE" Rob Liefeld can you?
I saw he's a Twitter bitch making comments about stuff he has business talking about.
Like comics & comic art...4 year olds scribbling in coloring books have more talent. You may be on here too.

Oops..if it's really you just ignore what I said & cut off your hands please.

I actually have a lot of interest in this show. An authentic post WWII vibe would be comforting to watch. Big bands.

Is Carter Tony Stark's mom?
