Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clip From Episode 3; New TV-Spot

Skye is not a fan of her boxing training with Grant Ward. Don't miss an all-new episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Tuesday.

Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, Marvel’s The Avengers, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown. That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Cool show but is it me but Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward needs some bulking up to play a decent black ops and Chloe Bennet playing Skye she is one hot hacker :P

They're promoting the [frick] outta Skye, only seen one episode so too early to tell whether the series is gonna 'revolve' around her but seems like she's getting a bit too much focus if it's supposed to b Coulson's show, but then again, more Skye ain't a bad thing... Chloe [frick]ing Bennett! :D

Chloe Bennett is the best thing about this show. If I were to retool it, I'd dump the other actors, promote Ron Glass to a regular, and bring in new actors to Agents of SHIELD who are actually from the comics.

I'm really sorry guys, this shows sucks... its a fact. I can't imagine how they will manage a show about super heroes without super heroes... :-( ... I gave it a chance... at the second one, even my wife turned it of.

Alright symbiotics, you may be right... but it still sucks for me, I expected something less frozen...

Its a bad cast, except for Chloe Bennett and Coulson.

No you lie! Everything that Marvel/Disney puts out is a masterpiece, so close to perfection. How dare you speak your mind.

I kind of enjoyed the first one, still haven't seen the second. I guess I'll see 5 more episodes and then I'll decide if I'll keep watching it.

The ratings will drop next Tuesday simply because of the fact that it goes head to head with the baseball playoffs, which dip into the 18-45 male demographic.

I think Skype turning out to be Spiderwoman would be cool

Yea you can't compare AoS to Sleepy Hollow as far as ratings, plus Shield has a higher budget too

I would really like to see Chloe Bennet as Spider Woman, I think she would do fine :)

This show had better get better FAST. It has been so bland thus far, feels like a USA Network show. They need to ditch the writers and the director.

People who say, "Be patient" don't know how television works. Think of the show, LOST. It grabbed people from the very first episode and never let go.

This is a great show, classic Whedon. Now, watch the bitching and moaning fan boys get it cancelled, leaving us with that rotting crap pile "Arrow".

I would like to know how creating new character for the show is shitting on the fans. It's not like the comics ever intro new characters. Of course maria hill and Victoria hand have been around forever. Purist say all the time that if you aren't going to stay true to the source, they might as well make new characters.

I also agree that skye could very well turn out to be jessica drew. The whole double agent, who is she going finally side with, has Spider woman written all over it.

Oh look, ManofReal and JoeMomma bitching and trolling another Marvel AoS article.

It's called being insecure about your DC properties that you have to come here and obsess about AoS wishing it to fail.

You still always have the CW!

They already said that Gravitron will be in the next episode, but you love to gloss over that fact even though you've been told 500 times. You know why? Cause you were bitching about this show before it aired, and no matter what you are going to sit here and continue bitching.

Just like every other Marvel article

You call yourself ManofREAL, but all you bring to the table is biased bitching. No talking points just text diarrhea

If they took dumdum and turned him into a cross dressing prostitute they would be shitting on fans. Introducing new characters isn't shitting on fans, the comics do that themselves every time they need to boost sales.

It won't be graviton next show. We might get a fully powered gravitron eventually but not next week. He will just be a scientist.

ARROW'S BACK NEXT WEEK!!

I'm giving this show 3 more episodes. That's what I gave Arrow, not that the two should really be compared.

Arrow is based off of a B-list hero. AoS is a spin-off of the MCU. It has more pressure on it not to water down the Marvel brand even if it does exist in the same world as IM 2 & 3.

As for Skye being Spider-Woman, how are they going to pull that off?

1. Spider-Woman flies and shoots power blasts. This show doesn't have the budget for that every week.

2. Can Marvel even show any Spider-characters on this show?

Gusto touched me inappropriately again, who should I report this to? Big G?
redlion
redlion - 10/4/2013, 1:29 PM
@ Battabing There's no more pressure on AoS to not water it's characters down as there is for Arrow to do the same. It's the nature of the beast, once the characters make it to the small and silver screens, they're going to get watered down to a certain degree.

Not saying that Skye will or will not eventually become Spider-woman, but unless you work on the show you don't have a clue as to what the budget is like for this show.

No way she is going to be Spider-Woman. And yes, they COULD have her on the show. Since Spider-Woman has nothing at all related to Spider-Man, except for name.

There is no way that Disney is going to let this fail, considering it is tied to the billion dollar cash cow universe that has been created.

Disney owns ABC, and Disney/Marvel have COMPLETE control over this show. It's is pretty obvious they are going link this show to future movies, but since it didn't happen in the first 2 episodes, some people are flipping their shit.

I agree Disney/Marvel/ABC will not let this show fail so quickly. They'd make some ruthless changes to the cast and crew before letting go of such a brilliant cross-promotional opportunity.

If Chloe Bennett is Jessica Drew I'll love this show.
She is so damn hot and her personality as Skye is actually very similar to Spider-Woman's. Plus Hawkeye needs someone to sleep with.
LittleDanglyThing

I really don't think this show will be cancelled at all.
Not because I think it's good but because Disney has a lot of money and they're planning something with this show.

I jumped off SMALLVILLE after 3 or 4 episodes and never came back, mostly because I saw its Kryptonian monster-of-the-week becoming tiresome. Other reviews at the time concurred with that assessment.

Yet that show somehow managed to last 218 episodes. This tells me that either (a) the showrunners learned from the mistakes of the earlier episodes and adjusted accordingly, or (b) they plunged ahead without changing a thing -- and therefore I was simply not the show's target audience. My gut tells me it was the former which led to the show's longevity. If I'd stuck around I might have been pleasantly surprised.

So I think SHIELD still has some potential to win people back, assuming the producers are paying attention to criticisms and tweaking as they go. The episodes made post-pilot airing will be ones to pay attention to.

Ifelt this was a good show. I am reminded that Buffy got increasingly better as the characters developed over time.

Also, wonder what Coulson means when he says "It's a magical place." everytime he talks about Tahiti. And I REALLY want to see what Agent Hill was reffering to when she said, "He can never know." (exciting)
