Next Wednesday, Marvel Television's swan song begins with the seventh and final season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will send the team back to 1931 New York City to track down a devastating new threat and do their best to stop it before it changes their timeline forever.

The following clip sees Coulson (Clark Gregg), Mack (Henry Simmons), Daisy (Chloe Bennet), and Deke (Jeff Ward) getting started on their mission as they explore the streets of New York. Then, when things start to get a bit confusing, Deke steps in to explain his understanding of multiverse branch theory vs. timestreams and what the team must do to avoid any major change to their timeline.

The final season begins on May 27 and will run for 13 episodes, likely placing its series finale on August 26, barring any schedule changes.

Can't wait! First clip is good, love Deke explaining the multiverse and LMD Coulson being such a history nut.

If Deke is still explaining his theory of the multiverse two Seasons after it either means something in the long run for the finale of the series or it just a running gag the writers keep giving him because the last times it's proven to not be what is going on in the stories.

They are serving a lot of looks in the stills with that said.

You know, it's probably the most generic of generic television show cliches but I've always kind of enjoyed the "walking during exposition as visual representation that story is moving forward" scenes.
