After helping to thwart Hydra, Agent Phil Coulson was appointed as Director and tasked with rebuilding the agency. Agent Melinda May, expert pilot, martial artist and longtime friend, will continue to look after Coulson in the wake of the mysterious etchings he's been carving into walls. Grant Ward, highly trained in combat and espionage, was found to be a Hydra mole and a traitor to S.H.I.E.L.D. and locked up away from the world and his former teammates. But this isn't the last we've seen of him... After being left to die in the middle of the ocean by Ward, Agent Leo Fitz, brilliant engineer, and Agent Jemma Simmons, genius bio-chemist, found a way to escape their watery grave. But all did not go well for Fitz, who was left in a coma and may never regain his full cognitive functions; a devastating blow to Simmons. And computer hacker Skye, now a full-fledged S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, discovered her origins as a 0-8-4 — an object of unknown origin — and that her parents were considered "monsters." Could Skye have darkness lying dormant inside of her? Also joining Coulson's core team is Lance Hunter, a dashing mercenary sharp shooter with a quick wit. Since he didn't rise up through the ranks, does he have an ulterior motive for helping out the team.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. features:
Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson
Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May
Brett Dalton as Grant Ward
Chloe Bennet as Skye
Iain De Caestecker as Leopold "Leo" Fitz
Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons
J. August Richards as Mike Peterson/Deathlok

@RebelVulcan I find your reasoning quite...*Gasps*..... Logical ;)

Agreed, he can be monotone in AoS. It's on purpose. That's the Coulson character. Gregg plays him perfectly. If you check out some of his other roles, you can see how different he plays Coulson.

I wonder if he'll pop up in Ultron so they all can finally find out that he is "alive". I got a feeling that Widow might now, and is great at keeping secrets.

They should have had Coulson pop up or mentioned in Winter Soldier to really push Steve over the edge.

I hear ya man. There's been times where he's been pretty out of the box for the character. Specifically, while he was trying to find out the TAHITI secret, and a few select scenes in Avengers. In the season 2 premiere he definitely feels reserved, and monotone. I have a feeling that goes with the story. He's new to being director, and I don't think it's sitting quite right with him.

@RebelVulcan, the alien in the box is the same exact alien that the drug was made from that they used on Coulson and possibly countless others.

I still don't think it's a Kree though.

code for something? A program, you say? Something possibly kree? A fragment from this maybe.

@TelaVision

Why do you think it's not a Kree? Same marking on it's chest as on Ronan's battle armour...

That would be an interesting connection.

But, no! Ultron has to be created by Pym wahh wahh wahh!!!

@RebelVulcan-I think the tie in to GOTG is going to be AOS and Peggy Carter connecting by finding that Kree. That Hydra actually found the base that was making the inhumans and they "accidentally" stopped them and in the process gots themselves a Kree.
