Clark Gregg Teases Interrelation Between AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. And CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

"It will be interesting to see how our team integrates with the world after Captain America: The Winter Soldier [premieres]," says actor Clark Gregg.

How much does Clark Gregg know about what has yet to unfold on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Talking to TV Guide, Gregg talks about how the show will relate to the remaining Phase 2 Marvel Studios films, particularly, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I've said it on twitter but for those of you not on it, the last episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was very, very good. If you gave up on the show, now might be the time to jump back on board.

Clark Gregg: "Ask me again [about a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie] after I've seen Captain America 2. From what I can tell from the trailers, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s a big part of that world...this C.E.N.T.I.P.E.D.E. plot and The Clairvoyant is going to kind of pull a lot of things together and perhaps connects to some of the Marvel films in the same way that a [previous episode] connected, to certain extent, with Thor 2. It will be interesting to see how our team integrates with the world after Captain America [The Winter Soldier]."

Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television."

Just Watched T.R.A.C.K.S. episode and yes the show is better than expected. This was the what the show should have been doing from the beginning.

I don't wish ill on the show and am glad that there are people who enjoy it. I am not one of them, though, and last week's episode was probably my least favorite.

The Winter Soldier vs SHIELD agents?

It's very possible SHIELD will be dissolved following TES or at least become much more secretive. That hopefully would bring AoS to a more dramatic place and make it a little darker. I'm all for the fun that's what I like about Marvel universe rather than have it be in the same vein of DC that scratches a different itch, but more real drama would be nice. Hope they keep the level of quality of T.R.A.C.K.S

I just want the Winter Soldier to appear on the show, as either friend or foe. Imagine the buzz if he joined the team ? Never gonna happen, but it would be gold ! A cameo for an ep or 2 could totally happen though. I mean, after SLJ, everybody can come !

Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. That show was a [frick]ing wannabe in every possible sense of the word.

I wish we did not have to wait until March 4th for the next episode. The only good thing will be that we will have new episodes 8 out of 10 weeks from then on.

Scarlet Witch is the Clairvoyant. She & Quicksilver might be @ the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They might have her @ the end of Agents of SHIELD. She does cause a lot of problems for The Avengers. Think about it. She might just be putting together the whole centipede thing just to [frick] around.

Torchwood is a spin off and if those are the only points you can make to link it to AoS, then you're kind of nitpicking.
Bread
Bread - 2/9/2014, 5:32 PM
@MrCBM56- He'll definitely be on Daredevil. He'll also probably be a villain/ally on The Defenders, similar to how he was in the Marvel Knights comic.
